Well, I don't know a great deal about LW jackets, but I DO know that this jacket, my friend, is one sharp looking piece!
I'll be the first to say it; fit pics please.
A home run if ever I saw one!
A magnificent jacket & the hide looks brilliant. It appears to already have quite a depth to the colouring from that shot of the back. No doubt, many, many years of happy wear to come!
It also has zip hand warmer pockets & circular shaped pulls for the chest pockets. If it were an Areo, these would likely be diamond shaped talon pulls.
I'm thinking that the half belt and upper yoke rule it out for a highwayman.
Arnie has recently been signed up to promote an Australian real estate website. No I am not affiliated with it in any way.
He wears what appears to be a very solid hide jacket throughout the series of spoof-like commercials & I was wondering what it was.
At first, I though it could be an Aero...
I honestly don't see any issues - I think it looks great!
Considering the overall cost of losing on this jacket and adding for a new one, I can't see it to be worth it.
If you were ordering a brand new one, built for you, you might add 0.5' to 1" to the length, but who in their right mind...
It is REALY hard to see in that picture that you have posted. You are also raising your arm to take the picture, which in turn pulls the jacket up.
Are you able to have someone else take the photo (or use a timer function on you camera)?
It's not mine, but seems to fit what you're looking for...

Some fantastic jackets there Gentlemen.
Actually, no you didn't miss that - I never actually stated. Given the benefit of hindsight, I probably should have said so.
Still working out the details, but it will be a close fitting jacket finishing just below the belt line on a pair of jeans (so...
Indeed no Fanch! This has been extremely informative.
It's decided.
I'll order the jacket in Minto Check & ask for a cotton Drill liner to be made at the same time. This will be stored until the moths gorge themselves on the jacket, which all but appears to be an eventuality!!!
That way I'm...
Firstly, thank you to everyone who has posted and shared their thoughts, all of them have been greatly appreciated.
I've had a couple of days to consider what it is that I'm actually after and can best sum it up like this; I'm looking for a design which is classic, understated & timeless...
Agree totally Martin.
Sorry, couldn't resist!
As for the comment earlier about the slim fit half belt, note that the front of this jacket is lower than the back by approximately 1.5 inches. As such, t really doesn't 'fit' like the cafe racer.
This is a classic!
I've bought a couple of jackets recently & so far the Wifey has been cool with it. Although she can't really comprehend why I'd need any more than a single jacket.
I am planning a second Aero right now, so need to get my story straight at some point in the next 6 weeks or...
