Highwayman length question

Hello again, time for another question from me . I recently purchased my first highwayman from Sockeye via the bay. Awesome transaction by the way. Love the jacket but am feeling the length is a bit short. I'm 6'2" and the jacket I got has a 25.5" back length. I'm pretty long legged so the back covers my belt loops but the front rest about halfway down the belt.

I've been talking with Carrie at Thurston Brothers and am likely going to order with a longer length. Here is a photo of the front of the jacket, apologize in advance for the poor quality.

What recommendations would you give me for length. I'm not sure if I should add an inch or go a little longer. Thoughts and suggestions are welcome. Thanks!

Hi, my Highwayman sits about 1" over my belt, that feels the right to me. Highwayman is a short style jacket and looks best on the shorter side in my opinion.

I would say no more than an inch additional. As Mark noted, it should be a shorter style. Although it's hard to tell, I think the above length looks good. BUT, order what you will feel comfortable in, as you would hate to put it on every day and think about that extra .5" that you wish you had added.

I am the same height as you and also with long legs. I used to have a HWM with a 26.5" back that was just about perfect. You might want to add a bit to the sleeves, or not, depending on how you want it to fit. No more than 1" though.

It is REALY hard to see in that picture that you have posted. You are also raising your arm to take the picture, which in turn pulls the jacket up.
Are you able to have someone else take the photo (or use a timer function on you camera)?

Do you really need to get a different jacket? It doesn't look bad imo. The highwayman is supposed to be a short jacket. Just google some pics of Daniel Craig in his, it's pretty darn short....

Thanks for all the replies! Here are a couple better pics. I'm starting to think I should just leave well enough alone have fun breaking this one in.

Looks OK to me. Don't think I would flip it for an additional 1" added to the body and sleeves. Believe I would keep the one you have if I were you.

I honestly don't see any issues - I think it looks great!

Considering the overall cost of losing on this jacket and adding for a new one, I can't see it to be worth it.

If you were ordering a brand new one, built for you, you might add 0.5' to 1" to the length, but who in their right mind (other than the lunatics on this forum) would ever notice?

I say wear it in good health and enjoy!!!

Thanks again guys, think I'm gonna keep this one. Plus, my wife said if I order another jacket I can look good while I sign the divorce papers.

I'm your height - I find a 26.5 to 27 inch back to be best. In a half belt you can sometimes get away with shorter as the front often drops. I think you can get away with that shorter Hywm,

I've always thought that Daniel Craig's jacket was too short.

Yeah, man, fits you really great IMO and I wouldn't mess with the length one bit. One of the coolest looking HWM's I've seen here! Perfect! Keep it! :D

Yeah, but how cool to be Daniel Craig. :D Seriously, another inch or so at great expense would simply not be worth it. What you have looks good enough to me. Sometimes the enemy of good is better.
