Had a general question between Beaver and Stable bodies from Winchester. Not looking for prices but the approximate delta between the two out of curiosity. Talking to one person a while back I believe they were like 1/2 the price? Does that sound correct?

Totally agree ! Plus my guess that Mike probably puts out at least 1-2hats a day especially with the dedicated investment in automated equipment (sewing machines etc).....anybody can do the math and see profit with running a brick and mortar store is challenging.

This lid looks incredible!!!! I love the duplex. I would be very interested in seeing a close up of the bunny felt to see how Mike pounced it....from your pics it looks like beaver, very impressive. You were able to watch him build a sweat, stiching etc in a single day??

I was wondering if anyone had a color accurate photo handy comparing side by side Winchester Pecan and Whiskey colors? I know these colors are very sensitive to lighting. I am trying to imagine what Whiskey would look compared to Pecan and trying to determine how similar they are. Thanks.

    Alley Kat Hat Co

Pouncing of staple rabbit is a challenge, here is a close up of Tim's attention to pouncing (note this was taken with my cell phone so color is not accurate) Tim has done some work on learning to overcome the challenges pouncing staple rabbit and to make it the closest to the feel of vintage...

    Akubra hats Softness

I agree with Moon.....after reading tons of posts on FL regarding Akubra hats specifically the CD I decided to give one a try in the blue grass (known to be one of the nicer felts), can't beat the price and they are a good hat to wear in the rain. Ordered a 58 and took a gamble on it fitting too...

Very resourceful. The cost was to sacrifice a felt body, hope that one was defective?

    Alley Kat Hat Co

This anxiously awaited custom arrived a couple days ago (finally getting around to posting it up and taking a few pics) from Tim at Alley Kat Hat Co. Right out of the box to my head it fit like a glove, best fitting hat I have! Tim’s sheepskin sweatband (shown in natural and already showing some...

I know beaver is preferred on customs and the felt is night and day compared to staple rabbit (talking about Winchester felt) but was curious if any of the many many individuals that have either have one, a couple to several plus custom hats does anybody prefer the feel of rabbit over beaver...

Just curious are you sure the price increases don't apply to orders in queue? It would make sense they would apply to new orders. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
