    If I understand correctly it is possible that a size 40 should fit as a 42 however for this specific ebay jacket this may not be true. In addition the listing is for a newer jacket NOT vintage due to the plastic zipper box? I may indeed try and find a Vanson Model A! Thanks!

    Got this for a Christmas gift (I picked it out on ebay :-)) lovely bluish gray color, liner says "royal Stetson" was on ebay not of interest for most since the sweat was not original. Real nice soft subltle felt, just figured it was maybe a conversion? Brim 2 3/4" and Open Crown 5 1/4"...
