In the last couple of months I've picked up two used Black Sheep Hat Works fedoras.

The first is a silverbelly Goldfinch.

The second is a sahara Savannah.

I don't know why these hats left their original owners but I'm lucky to have them!

Congrats on adding these to the stable. I read nothing but good things on Black Sheep hats and they look stunning.

Two very impressive examples Bill. You sure are rocking the great hats of late. Are those sweats as cool as they look in the little pictures? Love the vents.

Beautiful hats. About the ostrich, I once wore some ostrich boots on a cooler day... and froze my toes off! I wonder if the ostrich is more porous or something since the animal comes from a warmer climate. And then I wonder how that might work out in a sweat.

Just rambling thoughts, really, but it got me to wondering if the ostrich might make for a real comfy warm weather sweat in a summer felt hat.

I like it Harv. I'm sure the sweat is something special also. Any pics of it?

Another vote for a strange movie.

By the way, did you see where Kurt Russell has admitted & talked about being the unidentified private pilot coming into Phoenix ~20 yrs ago & reported seeing the Phoenix lights?

Thanks Jack. No pics yet. I just opted for a standard sweat and liner. I'll post more when the hat arrives.

I didnt hear that. Interesting!

That Sahara looks familiar.....Did you get that one from Vic? He did not keep that one too long....he got that one from me. Nice hats but they were just a little too snug for me.

I have a BSH fedora and I talked to Bob about an ostrich sweat. I ended up not as I forgot to add it. However my understanding is they are NOT ostrich but a standard leather with the ostrich grain stamped into the leather. Impressive nonetheless but not real ostrich.
Good to know. I bought the hat second hand so had no way of knowing.
