didn't someone on finds and deals buy one of truckers that was on ebay a few months back. Was like sub $100 if I remember. I remember those union made buttons.
this one looked great. Saw it early. Anyway, last thing on my to do list is a black racer, but it was that good, that it still tempted me. When Aero gets them right, I don't think there's anyone out there making as nice of a racer.
I've got about 4 or 5 levels.
If bought from here and owner says only worn few times, etc. I pretty much do nothing.
If it's got about 1-2 years worth of wear, I'll give a wipe down with wet towel.
If several years of wear but still looks good, wet towel wipe down (maybe some scrubbing here...
If you're not riding, I would highly suggest 118. You can wear a size 40 no problem. In fact, it'll be slightly relaxed. I see the issue you're saying now that you provided pics. I think a 44 on the 618 is going to be way too big. I think the 42 you're wearing is right on the edge of being...
those websites that give info about the model wearing the jacket, i.e. height/weight, are gold. I usually adjust 5lbs for each inch. So, if model is 6'0 180, if I were 5'10, equivalent would be 170 lbs, etc. And then I gauge how it fits. There's sites like Schott, where most jackets are...
Yeah, it took me a while to be a Vanson believer. Their website doesn't do them any favors. But after seeing some pics posted here on the what are you wearing thread, it was no brainer. Besides the older leather, the cut is like no other. They simply know how to make a jacket. It just fits...
Once you get something where you like the fit, that becomes your baseline.
Then you need to adjust for:
Action back, gussets, under arm footballs. You can usually go tighter on ptp and shoulder if your baseline did not have this.
Straight back. You need to go bigger if your baseline had...
If you a 41 chest, on a 618 you can easily fit into a size 42 jacket. I like my jackets to fit snug, so I'd probably go to 40, but that's me. With gussets and underarm football, you should have no issues with range of motion. If you think it's too tight up top, then go with the 118 size 40...
Isn't this very similar to p571? I had one of those but was in-between med and large. Couldn't make it work. Loved it though. That one didn't have talon zips, but from what I remember, it's pretty close.
Beautiful jacket.
I must really be a wimp to cooler weather. I wear my Aero B3 all the time in Los Angeles. In fact, out of all my jackets, it probably has the most wears. But let me qualify that. In short bursts--dog walks, hanging out in the yard, quick run to the store. I find temps in...
I haven't handled the Schott lambskin, so I don't know. My wife wants one of their women style cafe racers in lamb. I'm going to go to the LA store soon to check it out. They have the same design but with their 500 series leather instead which I know is nice, so I'm steering (pun, no pun?)...
same situation for me. Kills my morning to check emails and not see one from them. Tomorrow will be 3 weeks since approval. There was a bank holiday in the mix and Rip had a personal day off I think. So that might have thrown off timing. Relatively speaking, it's fine, but I definitely got...
I ended up going in another direction, but I got real close to ordering a Ranger with Aero via TB. There was two ways of doing it, or at least it was simplified like that for me. One was ordering a Ranger. I noticed from the stock pages of Aero and some emails, the taper is extreme. Like 23...
Hey, another Los Angelino. 2nd one I've seen today. Greetings from the 818
you're going to take a hit selling it. It's like the new car being driven off the lot. You're not going to lose much more wearing it for a couple months (so long as you don't trash the thing). So I'd...
