Ooh, that is nice. Welcome. I'm also in Los Angeles. Finally getting some nice jacket weather in the morning at least.
If you like that one and want another Vanson, lmk, I'm selling my 1980s C2. That older comp weight leather is really nice. Good mix of tough, soft, thick, pliable, grainy.
for my two cents, I like this pattern more than the one from yesterday or day before. It's damn perfect. I like it so much, I'm having deep thoughts about buying one LOL i.e. like the one on the classifieds now. I can't justify though because I have a FL Route 66 which is almost the same, so...
Randy, I think they all in an acceptable range of "good fits". Man we getting really picky analyzing back shots LOL, but I get it, that's why we're here. The Ranger, yeah I agree is on that edge of too big. That's CXL though, right? Maybe once it breaks in some, it'll at least lay flatter...
Schott 118. My bury me in it jacket :D
Over the summer I gave it a wash and dryer treatment aka "The Shrinki" method. I'm in between sizes on most Schotts and it was ok before, but a little loose here and there. It shrunk down about a half size and gave more of a fitted look, but there's...
I love Schott. Amazing customer service and I think their jackets are great. The fit can be all over the place, but every time I go to their store, I need to leave my wallet at home, otherwise I'd get into trouble LOL. Good luck. I think you'll find the Small to be a better fit. I think the...
count me in as well. They posted an olive green one the other day that had me pretty close to pulling the trigger. If I didn't have that LL Lightning in british racing green coming soon, I think I would have gone all in. Their truckers certainly look worthy. Even if they're at Gap or Levis...
Is there a way for you to try on and then return whichever you like less? Or did you take off tags?
Lambskin is stretchy for sure. Within reason. So being tight will create more form fitting. A size up will just hang similar but not so clingy.
Awesome! This was the jacket you pretty much got for free, right? Because Buyee didn't accept the return package?
I just busted the zipper on my Thedi half belt. I knew it was coming. Was a Riri zip (which are supposed to be super tough), but it was kind of at the wrong angle, so you really...
you right there on the edge of too tight. I have same issue with most Schotts. Med will fit me like this and large are too big.
Ask Schott for a size chart. It might not be too big of a jump going to next size up. Sometimes there's little adjustments, sometimes there's big ones.
Not sure...
That's a perfect fit. Get one a size bigger in different color if you want or maybe a different brand that might have differences (hardware, leather type, etc.)
Yeah, it's a really nice fit. It feels like it wraps around you. It's definitely snug for me, T-shirt only kind of thing. And if the leather wasn't so broken in, or if this was CXL, I don't think I could wear at all LOL. So someone 10-15 lbs less would be more an "appropriate" fit I think...
weekend bump. Price cut to $300 PPFF Conus shipping included. Think this is the last jacket I'm selling and just going to enjoy what I got now :D Fantastic cross zip, much more fitted than the usual Schott Perfecto, but super comfortable. Vanson got the patterns really figured out. It feels...
I think I've shared this story before but here goes again. The current Cal Leathers owner (Gwen) set up shop in the back of her dad's upholstery shop about 20 years ago. It's basically like a little kiosque inside the bigger upholstery warehouse. I purchased a 1950s Cal several months back...
Was hoping to get an update today about the jacket build being finished because it's pretty much the same timeframe others have mentioned. But alas. I think with time zone difference, London is done for the day. Maybe next week. It's all good though. The little extra time allowed me to sell...
