    The BORSALINO BROTHERHOOD

Here is a shot of some of my Borsas together.....I am missing a couple few that I am unsure what box they are in... These range from the late 40's to around 2003 for the newest. Of the two Lt grey Alessandra's, one is a 7 1/4 from the very late 50's to the early 60's according to the...

    Photos of hatters tools

That is not specifically hat related.....it is a steam table "puffer" unit..... The one on the right is an egg head puffer used for coat shoulders and upper sleeves areas...it could be carefully used to steam a hat from the inside (I actually don't however). The one on the left is a platter...

OTHER THAN eBAY Hats: Victories, Defeats, Gripes & Items of Interest

The three cell blocking tag is from the 30's as is the once yellow/orange re-order tag and as for the round size stickers, Stetson was using them as late as at least 1936 if not later (they were used by many hat companies (including Stetson) from the late 19th century to the early 40's)...

Dating Vintage Stetsons by size tag

Well.....it IS a "Chameleon" after all....... I do have some mid-60's hats with the roundel, but, as on this example..........they are not very well done...are smaller and have less detail with an almost "blurred" look.

Now Forming! the Campaign Hat Corps

Yes....on your dates and the cords are enlisted. Very often NCO's would buy nicer hats (private purchase) and other goods, which this would be (private purchase from a suppler). Officers clothes were ALL private purchase until 1942 when the Quartermaster Corps would start supplying them for the...

    Vintage Coffee Makers

Here is a mid-60's "Jet-O-Matic" made in Biloxi Mississippi, all stainless by this time (bakelight handles and base). Originally invented in 1951 and made in Michigan, it was marketed with several companies including "Dunkin Hine" , "Wear Ever" and "Salad Master" with their logo's (on the...

    THE MALLORY MILE

Circa 1965 Mallory.....came in a Stetson Box (common in this era as the hats were made by Stetson after 1946 and sold by Stetson Dealers. I am not sure they even made "Mallory" boxes in the late Stetson era of the 60's). I absolutely love the deep color and thin felt of this one. Apparently...
