Have NOT seen so many of the pocket opera hats (or a version of tuxedo hat) as these were often advertised. Often you can see the hat(s) advertised as an ancillary item...

    1917 the earliest reference to the Stetsonian I have yet found.....mentions their Army hats too!!!

    Here is an interesting ad....Stetson sold by 11,000 hatters!! Now this is an ad, recommending we all should have a "soft" hat and a Derby........It also mentions their "famous" Army hats, the new Stetson Velour and is one of the earliest references to the Stetsonian I have yet found....1917!!!!

    Then in September 1939 we have "London Grey" with the new "International Colors"!!!:eek: Think perhaps it is really the "Arabian Grey" from spring of 1938?????????:rolleyes:;)
