Wait, so you would be happy to have a fake leather jacket because it is leather and stocked by Selfridges?
I don't know what this thread is about anymore... Good luck with your jacket.
Could it be a fake? I have never heard of that brand but they look like expensive fashion clothing, that's the kind of stuff that gets counterfeit a lot.
It could have just been shipped... I own a bunch of American made jackets that made it to Europe without traveling on someone's back.
What difference does it make?
Why/how did almost 200 thousand people watch this video?
What does "wearing a scarf like a man" even mean?
As someone who doesn't have any social media, doesn't follow any "influencers" i really don't understand any of this.
Are some people really that insecure that they give that much...
Honestly, don't measure yourself it's a waste of time, measure a jacket you own that fits well and that is of a similar shape/design to the highwayman.
This dude has so little understanding of the subject, it's terrifying to think people listen to his opinion!
He keeps going on about the A2 being a high altitude warm jacket, how warm it is, how great it does in winter.
It's like he has never seen "Jacket, Pilot's (summer)".
This video is...
That's super cool, it really looks brand new! Don't think i have ever seen such nice condition Buco gear.
Unfortunately i can't help with model numbers.
Regardign the Horse vs Steer, there answer will depend.
Some will tell you they are nothing alike and give you huge lists of obvious...
IMO that jacket makes no sens without the wool lining, it's a cold weather jacket, designed to be worn with thick layers.
There ar4 better jackets to wear if the weather is good.
That's a crazy price for that jacket though, i bought two and never paid more than $450, i might pay 500-600$ for a...
I just realized you where talking about the regular Wool peacoat, i thought you where at least talking about the leather one!
IMO riding in a wool coat is the worst idea one can have...
The point is i don't think many people ride in a Peacoat...
If you are riding at 80km/h for 30 min in 8c you need a real motorcycle jacket, not a peacoat.
Same with a Parka, it will offer zero protection if you go down.
Tough call...
I think you did ok on the Schott Bomber and the Vanson, but those two models are very common and not super desirable so they don't usually go for a lot of money.
The Schott perfecto i agree with Monitor, it's a decent price for a NOS jacket, but you could have bought the same...
+1
To me it looks like the average kind of leather jacket you would see in Brick lane where all the Pakistani leather shops are. Some are good, some are bad, hard to say without handling them. A lot of them didn't have brand names.
I would not ride in that coat even if it was warm...
A peacoat is not adapted to MC riding, it has buttons which will let the wind in (and could break and come open if you crash), it's too long and will be uncomfortable to sit in, it has a huge collar that will flap away in the wind, it sounds...
