    I was born and raised in the Detroit area and still live here. As LuvMyMan states, downtown was once a plethora of hat shops and shoe stores. I find vintage items with local shops' names on them often. That said, I've not seen Dickerson's before. And Detroit IS reviving. I am currently coveting...

    It's a sickness! And I, too, keep a list of the thrifts in my area. The Salvation Army is kind enough to have a sign in each of their stores that shows all their local thrift locations. I keep a photo of it on my phone: Then, of course, there are also all the Goodwill stores, Value World...
