The Beck is cool, it's also mine! Luckily I wear the same size as Dave, and picked up the prototype. My search for a vintage style brown D pocket is complete!

Damo,
Your profile says Canada, doesn't say what part. If you happen to be in SW Ontario, stop into keleher's saddlery in Cambridge, they carry Chippewa and Canada West.

Time to clean out the closet.
1) Aero Real Deal 42-15142-P. Beautiful russet horsehide, excellent mismatched grain, with olive stitching. this jacket has been very lightly worn, and is in excellent condition. Aero added an inside "field modified" breast pocket on the left side, perfect for...
Just picked up a pair of Canada West 5085's yesterday. They may not be in the same league as Wesco's and handmade customs, but at less than half the price, and still made in Canada, you won't convince me to buy anything else. The soles are rubber and rebuildable, not stacked leather, which is a...
Clark's desert boots, I can walk all day in them and they're as comfortable as any shoe I've ever owned. I used to like Irish Setter oxfords, but they've changed over the years, and the new ones don't work for me.

Don't worry about the BS from the Star, Winnipeg has a snow pile like that every year, that lasts well into the summer. Yes, last year was a cold one, but it's what winter in Canada is supposed to be like.
Planning lots of lots of time with the D-1 and B-9 again this year.

Greetings All,
I seem to remember a couple years ago someone was compiling a list of all the WWII leather jacket manufactureres original addresses. I've searched around but can't locate the thread.
I'm currently working in the Hudson Valley and thought it would neat to take pictures of as...
We're getting into the start of spring swap-meet season. I'll keep my eyes open for CB450 stuff. Our largest local swap is on Fathers Day weekend, might have some luck there.
If you like, you can PM me an email address and I'll email pictures if I find anything.

Nice old "flatty", Stearmen!
I've heard good things about longitudinally wound brake cables for old drum brakes. Basically, the outer cable is built with the structure running the length of the cable, rather than coiled in the traditional manner, so it compresses less and more of your energy...
If you are really after a D pocket, with zip sleeves, and epaulettes like the Aero King of the Road or Daytona, but toned down, I'm sure they could remove the belt, and use blacked out hardware. Simple change, all the style, less bling.

What does she use to take it off of her face? I'd assume that if it's gentle enough to use on her skin, it shouldn't hurt your jacket. Try it on an inconspicuous spot like the underside of a pocket flap before you do it on the actual offending area.
