Sure, but don't ask for my favourite fishing hole or hunting spot . I got it at TNT, at the corner of Islington and Lakeshore in Etobicoke. He has quite a few decent M65's, I got the 2 best ones. The one I kept for myself looks completely unworn with no spots or stains. DLA # indicates 1977.
We do it a bit of both. I have Aero's bought through Mark Moye, back in the days of "Areo USA" before the scandal, and I've bought directly from ELC. Some go through US vendors like Thurston Bros. Sizing is always the question, it can get real expensive to send the wrong size back overseas.

Just had a quick look. Their prices seemed pretty decent. I compared Eastman's online price to Bison's and it was equal to the exchange rate. They say free shipping, so it's price plus taxes. If they can swing it, it is a large savings for us. Some stuff, like Cockpit, is just over priced to...
This one isn't exactly vintage, but like many things on this forum, "vintage inspired". Lew Horton S&W Performance center model 27-8. This was from a special run that LH did around 2007 as a Registered Magnum Commemorative. 5" nickle plated, 8 shot, 4 screw, square butt. 1 of 107 built with...
Like JohnnyC said, I got my first order in to Steve in Nov of '07, just as the real insanity was firing up over Indy 4, took 28 months, but it did arrive. My second one was a year or two ago, after the cancer, when he was trying to raise funds to keep going and fill orders. That hat was at full...
Hey Nick,
I suppose it depends on how you are going to treat it. I have 2 A-1's, a Headwind and a Goodwear, the cape skin couldn't be more different. The HW is very light and smooth, very lamb like, the GW is quite a bit heavier and pretty robust, neither of them are anything like the typical...
Norinco's are still readily available in Canada, lots of people buy them for their first 1911, very few keep them for long. I had one of those M97 trench guns. On the first outing it stopped extracting properly. Upon inspection I found the outboard extractor claw had fallen out. I took it back...
DD is right, an odd combination of waxed and non waxed looking parts. Left shoulder, both sleeves, parts of various pockets, and the belt appear waxed and aged, but the majority of the main body is completely different, and look brand new. Never seen one quite like that before.

Hey Pdx,
Sorry I didn't get you any pics of my 333, I'm still out of town. One note for fit, the sleeve openings are very trim and fitted, they close snugly around the wrists. This is great for keeping out the weather while riding, but if you wear a modern chunky watch it will be a tight fit. I...
I'd have to say no to the A2 as well. I have many A2's, including an Aero, but don't wear them for riding. I'd also stay away from a belted jacket if he's a round shape. My first riding jacket, many years and many pounds ago, was a "Perfecto" style jacket with a belt. The belt always rolled...
Personally I wear an old Belstaff Trialmaster in the wet and cool weather and a Hein Gericke Dakar when it's cold. Both jackets are about 25 years old, so modern equivalents might be tough. I know HG doesn't make the Dakar anymore and Belstaff isn't what it used to be.

Went to the Gathering of Mustangs and Legends in OH back in '07, somewhere around 100 Mustangs, plus many, many other vintage and modern war birds. That was an incredible sound! Could you imagine a 1000 of them flying over back in the war years???

What size are you looking for, I've got a 46 I'll sell at a considerably reduced price over new. It doesn't get cold enough in Canada to wear a B3 very often.

Exactly, I've been wearing my old Belstaff on my '70's Norton's for about 25 years now, great stuff. Unfortunately, the Italians have bought the company and it's gone all fashion, and the prices are through the roof. I can't say anything about the quality anymore, haven't had a new one in a...
