Aero Sheene Steerhide - when one is just never enough....

Hi guys, If I lay the two jackets up on top of each other, the outer shoulder seams line up almost perfectly. The 'inner' seams (the expansion parts) are of course on the inside. I would suggest that whether you have the shoulder gussets or not, the outer shoulder seams are essentially in...

Bootlegger size 42" Shearling lined Brown CXL Steerhide

It looks awesome! Just wear the bloody thing! Don't condition it, these hides really don't need it for at least 10 years or so!

Aero Premier Highwayman Seal Vincenza HH - 42

That was my strategy for a long time!!! AND it worked very well for me :)

Aero Sheene Steerhide - when one is just never enough....

Hi PN & BobJ, that's a really good question & one that I would imagine a few members here would be interested in. At first, I was going to reply a simple 'No'. Then I thought I'd put both jackets on and compare them side by side to test my thoughts. The result; The shoulder gussets do provide...

Another RMC J-100 Thread - Am I obsessed?

That RMC is spot on, whilst the DD has a little more taper to the waist, which I like. They are both stellar jackets.

Aero Sheene Steerhide - when one is just never enough....

Next? Shhhhhh, my Wife could be listening. With the modest winters that we have in Sydney, there's realistically around 4 months to wear a jacket & that is only if heading out at night. ONE jacket would be plenty. I now have four & she knows about three of them...... Oh oh.

    Aero Steerhide

Hi MikeD, Posting this here as I though it may be of interest to you and relevant to this thread. I have just taken ownership of an Aero Steerhide Sheene - just like what you have been discussing in this thread. For pic's etc, check out the details here...

Questions about leather jacket fit ...

Pic's really are needed to assess correctly. The real point however is whether YOU feel right in it. I really don't get the whole 'arms above the head' thing, I mean when does anyone actually walk around like that? Have a look at the thread that I have just started today about an Aero Sheene...

Aero Sheene Steerhide - when one is just never enough....

Well, here's the latest acquisition..... Feels a little mad though as we've had three days over 38 degrees Celsius (100F) in the last three weeks (one peaked at 41.9C / 107F)! I already have a Sheene, but felt that this one offered something a little different. For starters, this does have the...

Zip Sleeve Highwayman - Black FQHH, Red Cotton Drill, Fits 42 - 44

Nice PG! Your pic's clearly demonstrate to me why understanding your dimensions are so critical & that every jacket will fit differently. How tall are you, 6 foot something? To say that this 'only' has a 24" back, one would assume it would appear WAY too short for you - but it doesn't. Good luck...

Feet Up! The Work Boot Thread

Hi all, I've just purchased 2 pairs of Wolverine 1000 mile boots from the US and they should land this coming week. I was looking for a hand made Goodyear welted boot that can be re-soled to replace a couple of pairs of RM WIlliams Craftsmen boots that I have. Predominently to give an...

    Diamond Dave - Buco J-21

I agree that this is one awesome looking jacket. For my tastes though, I'm going to go against the grain with the masses here and state that I'd be a little concerned with that much change of the hide's appearance after such little time. This is of course unless it was made clear from the outset...

    Hide Matching on Leather Jackets

It can happen. I had an Aero goatskin 1930's HB which had different characteristics on the front panels. I actually saw it as a unique, defining feature.

    Aero Steerhide

Woah! careful there......... asking for advice on fit pics here is bound to cause the poster some angst! ;) I think it fits well, although I would probably size down 1 size as it appears there is some additional room around the back and upper arms. I have a sheene (café racer without the...

    Aero Steerhide

Thanks Sloan, so if I paraphrase you're saying that Aero have a 'standard' heavy steerhide & a mid weight one. The heavy is comparable to the FQHH, but with it's own characteristics. They have used a 'super heavy' hide before, although this is not the normal hide that one could expect. Would...
