Too cold? Nope, I'd say just perfect! There is room for another layer, but works just as well with a single layer shirt. Very comfy fit & just warm enough with the cotton drill lining. Hi there scon & welcome to the Lounge! I have Locharron mid weight wool, Herringbone Tweed wool & cotton drill. All of them are soft and comfortable to wear with just a t-shirt underneath. For longevity, the cotton drill is by far the best bet. If it is the 'classic' Scottish look that...- dan_t

That's correct. I tried it out of pure curiosity & it was surprisingly comfortable in the backpack configuration. I can't say that I'd ever use it that way though. This is for my daily use to & from the office, not for trekking through Africa, like Dave the owner of the company.- dan_t

Well, here it is!!! Came home today to find my Saddleback Medium Thin Briefcase in Dark Coffee had arrived - it only took two weeks from the US, so not too bad I suppose. It really is a fantastic product! It is so over engineered that Dave's claim that it'll outlast you is quite honestly true...- dan_t
