I've handled the black tea core shinki that he uses. It is a lovely hide for certain. There's almost a flaked finish with the hide as standard and it looks like it would age quickly & lovely in no time at all. Aero Steerhide
Love the Sheene as I do prefer a fitted style. Only additional input I can offer is to completely forget the inside pocket unless you really need one. Yes they're handy, but the extra leather in the pocket surround is thick & will likely show through over time. If I were ordering a new jacket...- dan_t

I can concur. Anything over $1k will attract the eyes of the government. On an Aero purchase earlier this year, the additional was also just over the +20% from what I remember. This kicked the jacket up to WELL over the $1,500 mark. And that was with a somewhat reasonable conversion rate...- dan_t

Shinki Horsehide Jacket
If you do like Aero & have success with their fit, don't discount their Italian Veg Tanned 'Vicenza' hides. It is very different to the FQHH. Just a thought..........- dan_t
