    I’d advise you to ask for measurements and compare them to your other jacket. You’ll need pit to pit, shoulder width, base of collar to hem and outside sleeve length.

    Dating Outerwear by zipper design

    Do you have any idea of the probable age of this Coats CLARK zipper? It’s one of several on a vintage leather garment bag I’m restoring? I got it cheap as the main zipper is shedding teeth so I plan to replace the tape and hopefully transplant the original puller.

    The attached pic is of the zipper type on a vintage leather garment bag I bought cheap for £10 at an antique fair, as the main zipper was shedding teeth. The zippers have the shape of Talon pullers so that might predict their age but I don’t recognise the CC logo. Can anyone help me please...

    I picked up these ‘Green River’ knives from a ‘car boot’ sale in Rotherham U.K. £1.00 each. The Dadley is Sheffield made Nowill) and the other is U.S. made by Russell. I’ve housed the Russell in a generic Sheffield made sheath with a steel and the Nowill in a Norwegian made embossed metal sheath.
