Javier, I have to join the I like wider brims on you club.
Grizzly, the Limpia creek in that cattleman's crease looks great on you. You look ready to go bark some orders at the wagon boss.
THIS IS A CRISIS!
Heads get bigger.
Vintage hats were smaller size when new.
Hats tend to contract as they age.
I agree, more hat wearing is in order. There are far too few hatjacks, use your head!
I promise to not whine if I see a TV show or theater film where they substitute a wool hat just before the guy gets beat/assaulted/murdered anywhere around the head.
I've learned to keep quiet when they throw in a many years older but similar car or truck just before a crash or bombing.
I also...
The 3,4,5 X hats from Hatco are that way too for current produced. You'd better not wear a Hatco produced dark hat in the rain with clothes you like. You will get dye run off on you......
American Hats makes a decent hat.
Buying from a dealer is cheaper. Mnaufacturer sells at list so they don't PO their dealers.
If you look around you can probably buy that hat for $50 or more less than that.
I know how you get that look. You wear your hat while mowing on tractor under low tree limbs. That is what it can look like after it gets restyled by Bush Hog (tractor mower for those who are not from the Southeast).
I saw him on some news show in the last couple of weeks and he has some unintelligible accent and he was sort of mumbling. IT sure made think he was adopting the speech patterns of Bob Dylan.
I'll take a mumbling hat guy or a well spoken guy with an expensive 'do any time.
Gangster Squad looks to be another hat filled movie set in the 40's. Someone I know had a Ryan Gosling photo in period clothes wearing a great looking gray fedora with mid-size ribbon on their Facebook page.
I googled it and found some more photos during production. The photos had Dec 2011 time...
FANTASTIC!!!!
You could hide this on Shorpy among some 30's and 40's photos sets and no one would question it. I think the tape on the package even looks vintage.
Wear it!
The wire spring loaded hat carriers will leave impressions on brim and if it is a light colored hat it may leave grey lines if hat is at all dusty.
If I carry a hat not on my head I use a hat box and hat is in plastic bag.
I also use a plastic hat carrier. Western stores sell them. They...
What has Obama done that has sent Whippet prices so high? I'm sure he is behind it. Some sort of hat Socialism.
Sorry, I can't help it. Every day something else gets placed on the Obama did it list.... :)
That a 100 only brought that price when Whippets are fetching $810 and $405 in the...
We assume it's moths but what else eats woolens and your favorite hats (I think leave wool hats alone for some reason).
I had a Pendleton wool scarf folded and laying on a shelf for a years without being disturbed. I moved it not long ago and it has nibble tunnels. No through and through stuff...
My ideal answer to a question of size on an auction hat is "I wear 7 1/8 and it fits me well" or " I wear 7 1/8 and it fits me just a little loose".
Then I know what size it might really be. I have ended up with stretched (but didn't show it in a complete set of photos in auction) hats so the...
I'm picturing a look that compares with those shirt-tie-pocket hanky sets I have seen in discount menswear stores. The ones where the shirt collar has a trim band made of the tie and hanky material. Not a quality look. This also makes the hat maybe somewhat less useful worn with anything but...
