Have too many black jackets. Especially with the Herc incoming, I know I won't wear this even though it's amazing.
This shows why I put socal as higher on the list than people would think.
Here in OC/LA I get 8-8.5 months of leather jacket weather per year. Not humid and never too cold.
Up for sale is my 20 plus year old and quite rare rmc/tmc 1930s style cross zip aviator jacket.
It's made with vegetable tanned tea core horsehide and almost none of the tea core is showing through yet. The lining is undamaged and the jacket is in amazing condition.

I'd suggest going used and searching locally within Europe to get the best deals. Used Vansons, Aeros, and some good vintage stuff is available in that price range.
I agree. It's definitely not as bad as a Fine Creek or a couple other Japanese brands. That's why I said I've seen modern schotts look good on some people. There are some brands that don't make a jacket that looks good on anyone.

Are you talking about the first or second jacket? I posted 2 different ones. I agree that the second jacket looks good on me (aside from the sleeve length), but the issue is that I can't move in it at all.
I always find issues with construction on Schotts I handle. It's not just low stitch count. I know the difference.
My proportions are even more extreme than yours if I remember correctly. And I'm not even the most extreme.
Like I said, I've seen Schott jackets fit tall, skinny people well...
