Finds and Deals - Leather Jacket Edition

Yeah I asked for measurements too. He did a few without providing chest so I'm waiting on that. I can send them to you if you want

What Jacket Are You Wearing Today?

Thanks! Yeah I'm working on that. Can't close them right now and I don't want to force it and mess up the zippers. I'll try to break the leather in enough to close them fully. Thanks! Very happy with the fit. Thanks a lot! Yeah I don't know why I thought it didn't fit at first. Thanks...

Thanks! I do think the cut suits me pretty well overall.

What Jacket Are You Wearing Today?

Yeah you were absolutely right about that! Trying some of yours on really helped. Thanks! Thanks! Don't know what it was about the other outfit that made me think it didn't fit... Thanks!! Me too! I love it

I like them, too. I love my Cal. I'm just guessing and it's all conjecture at the end of the day.

Stores in Cali and the right brand

If you want A2 jackets in Cali, you won't have much luck, especially good repros. Only place is Standard and Strange in Oakland who carry rmc. Those are good but otherwise you'll have to go to vintage stores and just hope someone has one, though they rarely if ever do. I think Brogue California...

Should I get rid of the following jackets?

Board racer, the bomber, and the one you just posted actually. That one you just posted looks too big

Should I get rid of the following jackets?

The Good Wear looks perfect. I would sell the other 2 you are thinking about selling. Not quite right in terms of fit so best to let them go

What Jacket Are You Wearing Today?

Got this great early 50s Windward horsehide jacket from @tmitchell59 When I first tried it on with a different set of clothes, I thought it didn't fit. Since then, I've tried it on a few more times and I actually think it fits great!

Finds and Deals - Leather Jacket Edition

I'm also speculating here, but I'm guessing police jackets are just not going to be as desirable as more "rebellious" civilian models. Let's be honest, do people want to be Marlon Brando or do they want to be the law? That may have nothing to do with it, but I've always thought about it with...

Fit check: Aero x Thurston Bros. Sheene in blackened brown Vicenza

The CSF jeans are still incredible if you go for his straight up repros, especially his wwii and 1946 models. Expensive and difficult to size and to even purchase. There are now several other good garage brands from japan that are doing similar things to what csf does. I have one on order and...

How many new jackets do you have coming (and how many potential ones)?

No problem. The Real thanks should go to everyone in the thread who did all the research and shared it!

This thread https://www.thefedoralounge.com/threads/was-roughwear-the-original-manufacturer-of-the-iconic-hercules-jacket.110416/page-4 I'm reading through it for the second time now haha

Fit check: Aero x Thurston Bros. Sheene in blackened brown Vicenza

Very kind of you to say! Yes, slightly slimmer could work as you say. The arms are slim. Something like the TCB 40s or Sugar Cane 1947 would work very well IMO

How many new jackets do you have coming (and how many potential ones)?

I found the thread in which you guys discuzsed all this. Youre right. The liner does look like what is likely the 41-42 liner. I'm going to be studying that thread closely until my jacket arrives.

Fit check: Aero x Thurston Bros. Sheene in blackened brown Vicenza

Looks like an excellent fit to me. I completely disagree that it would look better with slimmer jeans. Maybe ever so slightly slimmer (a classic 40s or 50s 501 cut), but no slimmer. A slimmer jacket with wider trousers is a classic look, especially if you look back to the 1930s. Imo your outfit...

Five Stars Leathers: remake of a 30's "Aviator's" style Jacket

The sleeve length is definitely too long for me, but otherwise it does look quite good! A comfortable, but not oversized fit.

How many new jackets do you have coming (and how many potential ones)?

Ah, ok. Great to know, thanks! I wasn't sure if the jacket had been re-lined or not already. It's already had some repairs done. I'll obviously update with more info as the repairs are done and when I get the jacket.

Thanks! I couldn't be happier with it. My luck was very high when getting it. @ton312 that jacket fits incredibly well! Please keep it!
