Yeah it is technically the correct size for me. I'm still getting used to vintage fits in some way. 6'3 would be more difficult to fit because even the longer length jackets in the body may not have long enough sleeves.
A1 jackets were originally made with capeskin which drapes much more and is...
If it fit me as well as it fits you, I'd have kept it. So glad it went to a good home though!

A bit loose at the bottom when unzipped and slightly long, but otherwise I love how it fits. Basically, I love how the top half fits, but don't love how the bottom...
Yeah I was very much not a fan of that leather. I had the Cooper 30s sports jacket. If they ever remade that jacket without the printing, I'd buy it.
Very boring leather to me.
Thanks! I will be doing some stuff on my vintage jackets for sure.
Yeah its amazing. It's also one that would be almost impossible to find vintage even though I have seen the one in the Tanaka book. I think a repro is probably the only option.
Glorious. Fits you well. Probably the only "new" jacket I actually would want to buy now if it came up in my size.
Yeah I do! Yours definitely looks a little darker than mine and yours is much much visible grain, but overall looks similar.
Yeah the helmet thing is definitely true.
Fair point, although I don't like all of these examples either. Plus, I'd argue that Nike is basically treated as a designer brand now anyway as are many other lower priced makers. They are still largely bought for that branding and clout by many people.
I like these much more. The lack of branding helps. I don't know why these fashion brands feel the need to put their name on everything and ruin things.
If I'm at home, I'm wearing pajamas or whatever warmer weather equivalent. So no, I don't. That said, I get to wear my leather jackets to work for the majority of the year so they don't need to be broken in at home.
