I emailed them, got a prompt response.
Process is a bit unusual I guess as you’re not asked for a deposit or anything, I was just told they’d contact me again right before production started, approx. 6 weeks after I placed the order on the 12th of May.
And so they did, right when they told me...
Seeing that Burberry jacket getting praise makes me wonder if there’s a thread like the “when you thought you’d seen it all” but the opposite: fashion jackets that the average lounger doesn’t hate or even like. I see Monitor has some avant-garde stuff that seems well received.
Also, I don’t...
Not sure what you understood but my intention I’d say was the opposite, I was quoted 8 weeks and it took 17.
Just like my two previous MTOs before that: Jakkrabbits boots that for whatever reason took like 3 weeks to ship after they sent me a video of the boots already finished, or how Crockett...
I’m the opposite of picky when it comes to boots and leather jackets because I know I won’t baby them but that’s terrible, I don’t know how that boot can pass any kind of QA even for budget stuff.
Interesting, maybe they were custom, I believe sleeve length is the only custom option they allow year-round, even for custom jacket length they only take orders once a year on some specific event.
Mine is standard size and sleeves are on the shorter size, and I’m average height and don’t have...
Have you handled the Addict AD-01? I’m curious about how they compare. I went with the Addict as it was a bit cheaper and I had some doubts about the FCL pattern.
Standard lengths are pretty long already, like 26in back (the AD-01 has a back drop though, not sure about the AD-02). Unless someone’s 6’3 or above I wouldn’t go with the long version.
I haven’t handled a LL (logo is a deal breaker) but I’m very happy with my Addict AD-01 in horse leather.
Leather felt a bit underwhelming at first but it’s grown on me. They apparently switched tanneries (for horsehide at least) 3 years ago or so, I don’t know how it was before. Also from...
This jacket is from a forum member, lighter colour is russet and darker tobacco. To me they’re just browns, esp. the tobacco. Maybe the colour I refer to as tan is more like “cognac” or “whiskey”.
Did you mean russet, which I believe is lighter than tobacco?
Regardless, maybe my notion of “tan” is messed up because as I said above to me it should have some orange to it and not be just a lighter brown. Think the oro legacy leather in RedWings.
Badalassi has some nice colours and it’d be...
It’s definitely the closest they have to the “tan” colour in my head (I’ve seen sooo many colour variations of that colour).
To me tan has to have some orange in it, natural CXL seems to me more like a light brown, although it depends on the batch/pic I guess.
