I'm in the same boat, so don't feel bad. I know how to sew and use my machine..but completing a project from start to finish...well just getting to that. I just recently sewed a nautical theme tote bag from scratch, the first thing I've sewn since I was about 16. It turned out ok...I'm a bit of...
Drat! The store that had the Clarks Vanilla Cream here only have one pair left, in sz 9. :( I should have snapped them up earlier. The 9 was huge..these sandals run big.
I've been eyeing those and am so happy to hear they are comfty! Been looking at those and these Fly London ones. However, I don't find the Fly ones all too comfty. Clarks wins!

Wrecking Belle, great minds think a like, I too have the Bettie Page repro dress. Wore it last week for the first time; it's lovely. ;0
I love your profile pic, is that a suit you're wearing or a dress? Looks awesome.

It’s the same for me as with you ladies, whether positive or rude comments…dressing well in vintage makes strangers think they have the right to comment and/or give advice. I certainly don’t mind the positive comments, of which they are mostly.
I too have gotten negative ones. I try not to let...
I was taking a sewing workshop, and in the store was a cute repro 1930s zippo advertisement poster. I commented to the owner how I really loved it. She then said ‘you look just like her; I knew you’d like it.’ Only, the woman in the ad was blonde and in 1930s fashion, and I was obviously dressed...
I have no clue Kitty, just found them in an image search. :( Guess I was lucky to pick mine up used for $5. ;0
I'm glad you all love them as much as I do - sorry I can't find any official website/retailer. Perhaps they have gone out of business.
Thanks Lottie & Drappa for the links!
It is incredibly hard to tell by the photos. I think everything is 70s, based on the photos. What is the clutch made of? I have a similar one, which is red and appears to be lucite (used in the 40s/50s), but it's actually from the 70s! Often hard to tell, but who cares as long as you love it. ;0
Lenore, I completely understand as once I was out of work for near nine months. Hang in there!
It's very obvious that that place was not the right fit for you. It seems that the opposite of what your mother in law said is true, YOU were too professional for the company, not vice versa...
On the weekend while walking down the street, a man said to me "nice..beautiful, can I smell your flower?" As I had a flower in my hair! *lol* Men can be so funny!
