I just had Miss Matilda,who owns Able Grable,reserve this dress for me in her etsy store

I was thrilled to find this as i have loved this dress since i saw Fluer de Guere in hers but satin is just not a very practical material for me .This one being a sample is in rayon so is much more practical for me but still as beautiful as it's satin sister
This is the actual silk satin version on Able Grables site,modelled by the gorgeous Miss Amanda Lee.Just to give you an idea as to how it looks on.

I found a big box of magazines that included this 1943-44 Butterick pattern book. Trying to mind my budget, I chose 4 magazines and asked if the guy would take xx dollars for them. He said, "for a little more you can have the whole box." He meant it too, and the whole shebang has come home with me! Mags from 1905 through 1934. Wowsers!

I don't think Rosie Beau is asking if they ARE vintage - they are from Accessorize, so they aren't - she's asking if she can carry them while wearing vintage clothes and not look too anachronistic. And I agree with KittyT! The little ones look vintagey and the bigger one is quite classic.

waited two excruciating weeks before i had enough funds

was filled with disappointment when i found the 'while you were out...' card
was filled with excitement upon being given the pink packaging

Annie-what a lovely dress,you will look beautiful!It seems familiar to me,i'm trying to think where i saw it.I understand your excitement ,i had the dress i just reserved in my favourites list & was hoping i'd have enough funds to buy it before it went to someone else.I was so excited to claim it,i gabbled on to my hubby for about 20 minutes(i talk really fast when i'm excitedlol )I think he was bored to death but at least he feigned interest
