Just won this late 30s /early 40s sheer dress. I love the details and the red buttons! Now to find a nice black slip.

thank you Ladies ;)

I think it will go well with a new desire to have some tiki inspired clothes (thanks a bunch, Kamikat!)

I hope I don't end up looking like I have bamboo eyebrows lol

Love them...and you can't go wrong with Tiki. I have a Tiki collection and one day...hopefully will have a Tiki theme lounge in my house. ;0

OH....MY......GAWD......

That is the MOST amazing house I have ever seen!!!!!!!!!

I am not kidding when I say if I lived in your area I'd be snatching that house up in a second!!!

And I cannot believe how cheap it is!!! Houses like that in my area would go for three times that amount!!!

They've actually lowered the price a couple of times, and it still hasn't sold. They are AWESOME people, love and collect vintage, and have redone a lot of the house to "upgrade" it to be a vintage lover's dream. Did you see the pink kitchen? Those are original pink appliances, not painted. I visited their house during the months long process of acquiring each piece of the counter, stove, etc. It was amazing to see the transformation from boring to WOW!

Yeah I did notice that - incredible! And appliances like that are soooo expensive to buy.

It's too bad, I can see why it wouldn't sell though, because I've watched enough of those "selling houses" programs to know that the neutral houses sell best because then people design them their way. They need to find a vintage lover to move in - and that really narrows the market...what a shame...I wonder if they can airlift the house to Toronto for me ;)

WOW!!! That kitchen is amazing! I've just shown my fiance and said "I don't care what you think, when we buy a house our kitchen is looking like this!".

The bathroom is lovely too. So pretty!

That is the cutest house in the whole world! I wish I had a reason (and the money to) but a house on the other side of the country!

I gave in and went with an impulse buy at work today. I don't know if it can really be considered vintage inspired since it's not a repro brand or anything, but I gave in and bought this skirt because I fell in love with the high waist detail.

The upside to the 11 hours of OT I worked this week, I do pay off the skirt quite neatly. Can't wait to wear it with a vintage camp shirt and heels!

Check out these gloves

While out investigating yet another thrift store here in my little corner of the state, my eye spotted these in a blink :) and I bought them. although i've no use for gloves ;) , it was the geranium pink color that took my breath away!, AND the fact that they were intact all the way to the original tissue paper in the clutch and a $3.00 price tag from: 'The Broadway'

Made by Cresendee gloves are Caresse leather.

Oh, they're gorgeous

You must find some occasion where you can wear the gloves. They are too beautiful to lie in a box! I don't know how easy that colour is to match to anybody's wardrobe, but it's stunning. And the little purse is so cute!
