The stories about Americans acting rudely overseas reminds me of the time I was at Yad Vashem in Israel. For those of you who don't know Yad Vashem is the Israeli Holocaust museum. A solemn place to say the least.
I completed the tour/trip of the place and was walking straight ahead. All...
Another "up there" clothing item (pricewise)....took a long time till I came across something that actually should fit quite easily. Once I have the trousers let out a bit ;).
It's a Botany 500 by Daroff.

I use "Christophe" grooming cream. It comes in a blue/purple tube and I buy it at CVS. It seems to work ok. It holds my hair in place does not make my hair stiff or greasy.

Had a surprise when I returned home - turns out the jacket did not fit the gentleman who originally purchased it. The price was steep but this jacket is in such good condition I wonder if it really a 1950 jacket.

Recently I read "The Sting Man" by Robert Greene. It's about the ABSCAM scandal from years ago. Mel Weinberg - the "con man" is very, very funny.

Poplin is great. I love Brook's summer suits. If you can catch 'em on sale they are a great bargin. I bought an off-white and brown seersucker suit last summer and I can't wait to break it out this season.

At least a couple of 'loungers have ordered Allen-Edmond's broadstreets in chestnut and golf-white. They're a great pair of shoes - just not cheap. I'm pretty sure the Allen Edmond's store is still open in Portland.
Here is a picture that Zohar posted some time ago:
Only a few more weeks...
Salv,
Do you like any of Keb Darge's Funk Compilations? I have a couple of the Legendary Deep Funk series. He's great digging up some really cool stuff. Again, not post 2000 - but re-relased music. :offtopic:
Oh, and the New Mastersounds. :)

As far as the Boston, MA Ska bands go I always liked Bim Skala Bim a little better. It's pre-2000 but the "Live at the Paradise" CD was excellent. "Diggin' A Hole" is one of my favorite Ska songs.
Also worth looking into if you enjoy blues, surf and rockabilly is Dexter Romweber (on tour...
And it wasn't me.
The jacket is exactly my size too...sleeves and everything.
Brown Two-Tone Jacket
Edit: It might not say sold yet but according to the owner it is - I tried to buy it myself.

Paternal Grandfather: Schohet (kosher butcher) but sold eggs after the depression.
Maternal Grandparents: Owned a menswear store in Virginia, USA. The store was an old "credit" business where a customer would put money down on his suit and then make payments on it. They mostly sold church...
I bought a size 42 Standard Highwayman. At the time I was 15lbs heavier than I am today and I had (ok, still have) a gut. It still fits quite well. If you e-mail Mark or Amanda they should be able to give you some guidance.
I cannot compare the FQHH to the Jerky but I will tell you that...
Salv - love Daptone! Sharon Jones is Excellent!
I like some of the Gearhead Record's bands.
Check out Demons from Sweden. Riot Salvation is great. I particularly enjoy "Beat on Me" and "Some Days."
Edit: I'm listening to them now - 69 ways is great too!
I am thinking about the Hercules for my 2nd Aero. I just recently saw that picture on Mark Moye's website. I was thinking about the very different Veste Del Rallye but now I'm pretty sure I'd prefer the Hercules in Cordovan (probably with the three season lining or maybe even the cashmere -...
I came across these while browsing a graphic novel website. I thought some of you might find them to be interesting. They are just shot-glasses with little gangsters and bad guys on them. Kinda neat I suppose...
