Lights glow softly within the ready room. There is the distant CROOMPH of artillery fire. Intermittent flashes of distant flames dot the horizon. Our intrepid group slowly filters from the room.

In tomorrows episode:
Who are the two cabooses?
Where are Monsieur Marc, HadleyH, and Salv?
Were Brigette and Roger able to assist Dostacos?
Did Diamondback recover from his wound?
Does Dash locate zaika and what transpires?
Does HFLG get his caboose padded inside and out?

Why does carter sing inane ditties sotto vocce?

TUNE IN TOMORROW EVENING To WONK

where the Chaos Reigns Players continue the soon-to-but-as-yet-undetermined-when-conclude saga of The Rescue of the Two Cabooses.

Inspired by Marc Chevalier from a post by Carter derived from a photo posted by Salv.

The Cast - you know who you are.

I call bull, DT--one, I have not earned stars yet, and two, I will not have my work send others to face risks I will not face myself. Besides, I am also an "penetration specialist", you might need one of those... (And I can more than take care of myself on hostile ground--I wasn't once called "Reaper" for nothing...)

Who needs a Liberty ship? Get me the financing to build a prototype Infiltrator assault spacecraft and we can make touchdown anywhere on Earth inside an hour from launch...

(The catch: it would take at least three years and several trillion dollars to even build this monster, and millions more to fuel and load it... I'm talking about what would be the largest heavier-than-air craft ever built, able to use entire Saturn 5s as boosters and having more installed engine power than many entire airlines.)

On Strife, we of the Horsemen named her thus because "War always brings Strife..."lol Ahhh, good times...

ok you get the 7th in the center hows that? as for the liberty ship, I figure that by the time we arrive we will be so glad to disembark that anything thrown at us will be better than aboard the ship, besides time may be of the essence...or not

EDIT: DT, there's a reason I bear the name of the largest rattler in Texas. One, my Texas roots go back to the Alamo. Two, Mojave greens may be more aggressive, but a Western Diamondback's deadlier when it is pushed to strike--much bigger serpent (2nd only to the Eastern Diamondback among crotalids, and only by 1 foot), with proportionately bigger fangs and more potential venom pumped in per bite. Kinda fits my nature--I don't seek a fight, but when it comes to me I finish it decisively...

It certainly started in the middle of something! I have NO idea what's going on. I'm guessing extracting damsel's cabooses from cabooses so that they may swoon at our heroship? If this mission does include damsels, would someone please clue me in? I'd be more than willing to help. lol

OK, not quite so bemused now.

I don't mind the photo borrowing at all. I'll have to scan the other photos - they're in a book called Simulacra, a privately published portfolio of youth cult re-creations by British fashion photographer Nick Clements. I was in one of the photos, and they were taken in London, in almost untouched side-streets near Waterloo station. The houses were Victorian-era and, apart from new windows, the exteriors were pretty much the same as they must have been when built.
