Gentlemen, you both have a lot of explaining to do. Now, leave the Lady here and return to quarters. That's an order. Tomorrow promises to be a harrowing day.

Yes sir, Carter. *Turns and walks away, visibly shaken* (Mumbling) But, what did I do wrong...?

Well, if we give her a 10% dose, that's good for six hours. [aside]It won't do any harm--it's really just sleeping gas, let 'em think it's something big. Let 'em work themselves over in their own minds a little more... or give 'em 10%, then the "Vomit Comet" as it takes effect.

Carter, these two ripped off that big bird out there's private reserve of lubricant and hydraulic fluid--I think it's entitled to a piece of the interrogation fun, don't you? Especially since that's what my apprentice was about to arrange before you had him arrested--which I'm sure will be canceled soon enough...

On second thought...

*administers two 10% doses, sets improvised security system and bids our 'guests' goodnight and pleasant dreams...*

Lights glow softly within the ready room. There is the distant CROOMPH of artillery fire. Intermittent flashes of distant flames dot the horizon. Carter gazes at the two prisoners slumped before him. Then he crosses to the redhead and lifts her in his arms. He carries her to a cot and gently deposits her thereon. Then he covers her with a blanket after removing her shoes and placing them beneath the cot. He gently touches her cheek as a wistful smile ghosts across his lips. He sighs and turns to the prisoner in the chair. He checks his restraints and covers him with a blanket. Then he crosses to the window and stands gazing out humming softly under his breath the strains of Lili Marlene.

( As I started to wake up)My body felt as stiff as corpse. Had I accidently drank part of Teekays liqour ,which was part formaydhide. (checking my hands) Handcuffs? must have been a wild night or I would not have handcuffs on. But I don't reconnize where am..... hhhmmmm.....(spys carter asleep at desk and teekay asleep in chair).

Meanwhile, Kilroy wakes up in his quarters. Ugh, what the heck happened, and why did Carter place DB under arrest? Why did he order me to my quarters? Why does my tongue feel like sandpaper? Why are the redhead's stockings (at least I think they're hers) draped over my headboard? Why has my hair turned red? What the heck did I have to drink? I'm seeing birds! Wait a moment! There is one here! Why is an attack Macaw in my room? I think it's the same one from the train!

There's a note attached to it's leg. *gets note* Hmmm, it's from Carter. *Reads note* "Kilroy, this is for your eyes only. I have given you the attack Macaw, Oscar. I've "reprogrammed" him so he is now on our side, however his partner in crime Osama Bin Lovebird is still on the loose. I have chosen you for an important mission to save Milo. You need to have a clear head for this one, that is why I sent you to your quarters early last night. You may find an unlikely ally in the form of the redhead. Treat her kindly, I'll tell you why later. The attack Macaw (Oscar) will be an important tool in helping you achieve success on this mission. You will need him. Once you have read this message, burn it.

Hmmm, I had better get ol' "Skid" to get my kite prepped. It looks like I might be off on a dangerous show soon. C'mon Oscar, come with me...

Where was that pilot? Wait some of last night is coming back to me. I remember there was a snake, and that pilot and that kind old soul behind the desk. Eh, my minds still too foggy to put everything together. I still need to figure out why I have hand and leg cuffs on....

...Good Lord, I'm still groggy. What was in that eggnog? Absinthe? Wait, what is this key I just found in my pocket? Kind of an odd shape. Doesn't look like a key to a padlock or a door. Hmm...handcuffs maybe? But why would I have that? Who knows? *Tosses it in desk drawer* Come on, Oscar! *Oscar*"Cookie?" No Oscar, you may not have a cookie! I don't have one for you...

Oh gosh these leg ironmust be from the middle ages, they are so darned heavy!(looking out window) Oh must be an early patrol(watching a plane take off).

*Walks outside, sees aeroplane taking off* I wonder who that is? HEY! THAT'S MY KITE!!! WHO IS TAKING OFF IN MY AEROPLANE!!!!

As I was watching out the window, I saw that realy cute pilot running after a plane! Somebody had made off with his plane. I can't have feelings for that pilot.(looking over at Teekay).Teekay would hunt me down.....

Darn!! Whatever they had to drink must have been awfully good! They're both out like a light. But wait, where's the redhead?

Sorry, Kilroy--needed the RAF's best for a rescue mission. Blackout'll take care of your mission, but may need some coaching--I think being given guns, and especially big ones, has gone straight to his ego-subroutine...

Now where are they taking my apprentice? Hmmm, probably SOE--guess I better go find Hugh Dalton and offer to relieve him of his toenails if he won't cooperate... Never did like SOE, they're as much the enemy as the Nazis in my book!
