I saw a little snow in Stockholm, over the weekend.
It snowed a little in Copenhagen last night too.

Stockholm lost its snow right away, I think. It's still lying around in Uppsala, though, only a few miles more north.

Yay! Winter! The white rug on the ground makes the dark more tolerable.

Right now it is belting down with snow, we've got about 4 inches already. So nice when the snow comes and makes all the bare trees look beautiful ;)

Norway in winter is beautiful. Did a Battle Griffin in '95 up by Narvik (Elvegårdsmoen). Felt like home.

Pleased you liked it Carebear. I've only been to Narvik once - love how the ski run ends up virtually in the middle of town! You might not have had time to see it but there is a German vessel from the war (can't remember which type but fairly large) which was sunk a little up the fjord and part of the stern is visible at low tide.

Not snowing today but still some remnants of the snow of a few days ago. Stunning day though, -1 Celsius and the sun's out.

Our Norwegian hosts went over the battle for us. I was actually running patrols over some of the same terrain, heck of a place to fight a war.

SNOW PHOTOS

GREAT! Snow in Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Alaska and other locations, but nary a photo.

What's with the dearth of images of the white stuff? C'mon folks. We hardly ever have snow in Texas.

Well we NEVER have snow in Florida... Let's see some pretty pics!:D

In 1976 while touring with the Asolo Theatre, we were ensconced in a motel in Stuart, FL (about 50 mi north of Miami). I walked out the door of my room one morning to a moderate snowfall. Darndest thing I ever saw.

Everything in Stewart was cancelled that day and we went fishing. :D

About 120m long? Destroyer, probably a Type 1936, either Z21 Wilhelm Heidkamp or Z22 Anton Schmitt--I've been researching the Narvik campaign for a naval-miniatures scenario I'm writing.

More pretty snow pictures, please? Anyone?
How 'bout this? Slightly different due to angles and distance (this shot's much closer to the mountain), but fairly similar to the view from my front yard...

Hey, DB, What's up with the guy in Seattle who removed a recalcitrant lugnut from his Lincoln with a 12 ga. and injured himself in the process?

What is that, offroad rage?

Yes, I do believe that that is snow. ;)

I believe, sir, that it's called "natural selection"--except that it didn't quite "select" in his case... Idjit didn't know how to use air-tools or call for a tow to a shop would be my guess.

And actually, it's across the Sound--Ms. Barbigirl and many other Seattle Loungers might be offended by your insinuation that this clown's from their town--you saw the reaction to my "not really a Seattleite, I'm just here until I can figure out paying my way home" post, right? lol

Well, the local news said Seattle and we all know how extremely exact the news is. Right?

I missed your post but point me in the right direction and I'll scamper right over and read it.

That ain't true. I grew up in Fl and there was snow three times when I was a kid. Granted it never stuck. Twice in Jacksonville area and once when I was with the grandparents in St. Pete.

Pics of Mt. Rainy-er!

I remember countless times running PT on Ft. Lewis, only to look over and see a snow covered mountain.... We used to make beer runs and hide cases in the snow.....Even in the mid summer!!

God I miss those days.... Probably some of the best times in my life!!
