Hated that song when it came out...although she did have sort of a cute voice when it went high...
That was horrible---like Janis Joplin light---without dope and whiskey.

Funny, but I remember the Bay City Rollers being introduced by Howard Cosell on a short-lived TV show he hosted called "Saturday Night Live" -- not to be confused with the famous NBC show.
Ok then bonus round:
What is this GoDevil they are talking about at the beginning?
Now, James, that favorite decade of yours also gave us such immortal numbers as:

Another name for the Go-Devil was the Kiddie Kar.
I'll see your Jolson & Crosby and raise you a Charles Prince's band:

Oh, yes. The 1970's produced such wonderful music.
I can live with this la la la la la.
If you like the "la la la la la", how's about some "Hi-Li, Hi-Lo"?
Too much yodeling. I guess it is useful though:

A buddy of mine in high school used to yodel to that song. We would bust out in to uncontrolled laughter every time, most likely because we were surprised that even after puberty his voice could get that high.
