No, hippies stink more. :eeek::eusa_doh:
And that is the closest thing they have to a positive.

Don't make me send my gang over to your house.
They are from all walks of life, and they are fabulous.

BTW I skated to that Donna Summer song, and still hear it on the 70's channel on XM.
The 70's channel does get to me on occasion, I have to be honest.
Some songs I just can't take, especially if it's Captain and Tennille.
I mean, there are some memories that I'd rather not relive, the energy crisis for one.
Then again I'd be happy sitting in a bean bag, watching a Bob Newhart or MASH marathon.
Until my legs went to sleep.

But Freddiie Mercury was the Queen of Queens, hands down.
I watched a Queen concert from Montreal, circa 1980 a few weeks ago.
They play it on one of the higher channels on Directv, Palladium I think.
People remember Freddie for his on stage persona, but what many don't realize is his talent.
Of course he sang, and had an incredible range.
But he also played the piano and the guitar, and wrote many of their hit songs.
Yes there were questionable aspects of his life, but like today, I care more about a performers talents than I do their politics.
I'm not paying for the latter.
Then again I haven't seen too many artists today that have any talent at all, unless they use a lot of studio help.
I feel the days of seeing a performer with Freddie's musical ability and persona are gone.
Why do I feel this way?
This guy...

MASH wasn't real of course, my father was in the Army during the Korean war.
He won't watch that show either, and I had a great uncle that wouldn't watch it because he couldn't hear it. He flew helicopters in Korea, and Vietnam. Great guy, stone deaf though.
I only have a few episodes I like, because of the situations or the jokes.
Most of them involve Col. Flag.
I have to quote the movie Wayne's World, here. "Led Zeppelin didn't write tunes that everybody liked, they left that to the Bee Gees."
Yeah but their cover of Shadow Dancing was awesome. Both stunk.
That ain't a good thing. lol lol
:eusa_clapAt the time it was. We used to go to clubs in Hollywood, Pasadena, Glendale, all over the area, and when Donna Summer came on, the dance floor got packed in a flash. There was a lot of junk disco, but Donna Summer had some good songs.

Especially with Jones on the Mellotron, to imitate Robin Gibb.
Of course Page in an all white suit, and maroon large lapel shirt was a bit shocking.

James probably just dropped bacon all over the floor with this post Widebrim.
I was going to say "coughed up a slab of bacon" but your answer works too.
Actually LZ never recorded Shadow Dancing.
Disco wasn't their bag.
I think their bag had "oregano" in it, if I remember right.
"Classic" '70s music. :eusa_doh:
