Thor, beautiful color of cuffs and waistband on the first photo of your jacket! Looks like on m422 period, despite the fact that this is LL Bean.

Thanks @Flightengineer! The older LL Bean stuff was really well made. This jacket has thick sheepskin lining (super warm!), real mouton fur collar, wool knit cuffs & waistband and thick goatskin leather. It appears very dark brown (almost black) when it’s overcast and cloudy but under brighter lighting conditions it shows it’s real color: dark seal brown with brown knits.
You can find these 20-Year old sheepskin-lined LL Bean jackets on eBay for around $100 (sometimes less), making them a real bargain.

I saw only their A2, but they are not very interesting for me, and of course LL Bean for me - it's their duck boots, which I wear in wet and dirty weather.

So i just discovered the fedora lounge a few months back after stumbling upon a picture of a Thedi jacket online. Well, i suppose i'm hooked much to the chagrin of my finances. I purchased a Thedi and am quite pleased. Of course six weeks after its delivery the weather is waaaaaaay to cold forwearing it. That logicallyhad me looking at shearling lined options. I like the an-j-4. I also like the 50's half belt deluxe with fur collar with a shearling liner added. Unfortunately, both $ and delivery time (12 weeks) neither will get me thru this winter. Recently whilst searching for the end of the internet i stumbled upon this jacket. NOS with tags. It's no Aero an-j-4 but at 1/10 the price it will scratch the itch formthe next few weeks. It also satisfies my question about how i'd actually like an A2 based on cut.
