My Langlitz medium weight cowhide as well... It's incredible how comfortable this jacket has become. So much so, that I've started wearing it regardless if I'm riding or not.

I can only imagine how thick the heavy cow hide would be.

I'm pretty sure they're all dead by now. It's just a cap, it's just a jacket.

Undoubtedly, they are dead. Also undoubtedly those who have seen and remember them here are still alive here. And even after God will takes people who were just a child at that scary times, they will still be remember here, and their uniform (or part) will be remind they here.
Perhaps it's just clothes for you...
I did not mean to offend anyone.
I just said what I said.

I rarely do the parka AND the hat. This subject can go down hill pretty quickly but I am amazed at how well German WW2 repro stuff sells. Places like ATF and SM Wholesale sell loads of it!

The hat came with german insignia on the front and side, I had those covered with scraps of the same material as the hat.

What are you doing that you aren't wearing that green A-1 all days now? Break in that beast! We want to end up seeing a worn in green A-1 around here :D

Have really only worn the Highwayman. For the A-1, the collar is slightly ticking me off. Not a knock on the jacket; I love it. But I'm trying to get the collar shaped to stay flat!

Nick - there are collar up and collar down guys in re A-1's. I am a collar up kind of guy, when the collar is flat it looks like there is no collar and you have no collar hight which to me makes the jacket look ill-proportioned. Like a jacket with no collar at all. i know there are lots of pics of pre-WW2 guys with the collars down but ................... IMO

Yes dubpynchon, the jacket is their rough wear B-6.An ideal jacket when worn with a wool sweater for the English winter climate . At least in the southern part of the country, in my opinion.

Thor, beautiful color of cuffs and waistband on the first photo of your jacket! Looks like on m422 period, despite the fact that this is LL Bean.
