Very nice... the faded seams give it a very cell-shaded look which I dig.

On another note, seeing LW and veg tan in the same sentence almost blew my mind

Absolutely killer Canuck. JC has shown me a few examples of jackets with this goatskin, so much depth and character. Seal brown with russet tones underneath.

Does yours have the nz tag? Mine has an older reproduced by rmc tag but no nz. So I'm thinking very early Japanese production.

Mine has the small white NZ tag just under the chest pocket. Japan Osaka factory may have also made this jacket through their transition I am not sure, my J-81 has no label and I assumed it is made in Osaka factory. The rayon version was still in production as recent as 2020 I think.
