Vintage dark green Resistol “17.50” - crown re-creased from a cattleman and brim reshaped, both by me (new ribbon added by Texas Hatters).

Vintage Resistol Hi-Sierra – came to me with an RCA crease – changed that to a tall diamond (didn’t like it) and finally it decided it wanted to be a “Gus.”

Vintage Stetson cattleman (I think – might have been an old Resistol?) that turned out to have a hole it when I received it – decided to keep it and replicate John Wayne’s cavalry hat. I no longer have the hat (I was disappointed when I found out it didn’t make me look like the Duke), but was very happy with the way it turned out.

I've got a couple of these , Red. I find they are closer to the Stetson OR than the Strat.

no not all that much like a Stratoliner and as Robert said a bit more like the ORs of the era if we are comparing.
but it really is just a thin ribbon western style fedora as I call them
has a cool bow that is different from the Stetson offerings and superb felt
really great piece ....one of my favorites
