Awesome looking hat. What model Borsalino is it? Is it modern or vintage?Freshly creased Borsalino. I'm a sucker for these thin ribbon's.... color of felt is nice too!

Thanks, Andrew. It's a vintage hat. Probably 1950's. Here's a liner shot:Awesome looking hat. What model Borsalino is it? Is it modern or vintage?
Love that crease.Inky-blue Dobbs this morning.
Love that crease.
It looks good to me,Mike. An example of letting the hat determine what she wants for a crease. My Borsalino Gorascu "Angora" in Misto Grigio has this idea for a crease. The tight pinch is to my liking, but the attempts at a wide, sharp diamond have been all but thwarted by this hat. I let her do what she wants, kind of like a wife...

Great looking diamond. Nice snap. Good work.Since we're discussing re-creases (sort of), last week I re-creased my Taupe Fawn Campdraft. I was looking at it from the side, and decided I didn't like it's squared-off appearance. "Before" photos on the left, "after" on the right.
I didn't start out with the intent of giving it a Diamond crease because I've already done that to my three Fed IVs, but that's the shape the hat wanted so I went with it. I was trying to duplicate the first photos which were taken a little over four years ago, but the angle makes the crown appear more tapered from the front than it actually is; from a slightly higher angle, you can see it's only slightly tapered:
Not a huge difference, but I'm happy with it. I do wish I'd noticed the ribbon had shifted before I took the photos...
