SPECTACULAR parade of lids of late, lads!! Truly special.

Today was vaccine day here in our town. For this special (?) occasion I grabbed my VS granite porker, garnering great commentary at every checkpoint in the lines.

I had always wondered why the sleeves of this Sean Jean parka were removable or unzippable.

Wow Terry! Another great job. You'd never guess that was the same hat. Awesome look!

Wearing my latest refurb project. This is a Knox Stagecoach that a fellow Lounger gave to me. I'm wondering if Byer / Rolnick possibly bought out Knox back in the day. It has all same markings on the sweat that the Resistol Stagecoach had...and I saw Dobbs Stagecoaches too. So I'm guessing that maybe Byer / Rolnick bought them out way back when (?) Anyway, this hat sports an impressive profile with 7 inch tall open crown and a 4.5 inch brim width. You don't run across Western hats with these profiles too often these days. Except for the weaved hat band I reused everything that was original to the hat. I was able to preserve the original open crown shape and to retain the brim width and pencil curl...

Ironed out the old creases in the crown and ironed the brim:

Thank you Blare! They sure did, eventually. I was wondering, though, if Beyer / Rolnick bought out Dobbs and Knox back in the day before hatco bought out Resistol and Stetson, etc. Hopefully somebody can weigh in. Where's Brad Bowers when you need him?

Glad to hear you got your first jab today, Charlie. Great hat to wear for it. More than a touch of ol' blue eyes about that one.

Way too many fantabulous hats posted by all this week for me to comment on inidvidually. A joy to see.

I think it was Wyatt Earp who said “You can tell how much trouble a cowboy is going to be by the size of his hat” you look like all kinds of trouble in that hat. :p
Not your normal look but it looks good on you.
Wear it in good health.

Italian week is coming close to the finish line, but we're not quite there yet. Saved a few good ones for the home stretch.
Let's see.
