Anton Peschel Neutitschein "Peschel Kristall" possibly late 1930s early 1940s and recent arrival.
Thanks for that Bob. I'm definitely going to read up on it.Looks like 1972 (by Koracorp -- after they had already bought Byer-Rolnick back in 1967):

This is the hat that I’ve asked Michael Gannon to duplicate with my second 220g nutria in natural. Should arrive in July, but worth the wait. I love this hat, and I like the idea of having a modern version that I won’t have to pamper or worry about.
Don't see too many of those. Nice!
Very Cool T! I really like the way you reworked the brim and fixed the crown. You certainly got the touch.Wearing my latest refurb project. This is a Knox Stagecoach that a fellow Lounger gave to me. I'm wondering if Byer / Rolnick possibly bought out Knox back in the day. It has all same markings on the sweat that the Resistol Stagecoach had...and I saw Dobbs Stagecoaches too. So I'm guessing that maybe Byer / Rolnick bought them out way back when (?) Anyway, this hat sports an impressive profile with 7 inch tall open crown and a 4.5 inch brim width. You don't run across Western hats with these profiles too often these days. Except for the weaved hat band I reused everything that was original to the hat. I was able to preserve the original open crown shape and to retain the brim width and pencil curl...
Before:
Ironed out the old creases in the crown and ironed the brim:
After:
Thank you buddy!V

Spring has come to Central California and the almonds are in bloom.
My in-laws planted 5 acres of eucalyptus trees 40 years ago for firewood and now they realize that 1/2 an acre would have sufficed.

Well that sure looks well suited for your current weather. Beautiful hat Reggie.

OK, it's really a 4x7 Sears Carlsbad.
I felt like doing some little kicks but figured taking a selfie with the hat in the grocery store parking lot probably drew enough attention already.
Fantastic BillLate post. MacLachlan for services yesterday.
