Dang Ross... how big IS that hat? o_O:rolleyes::cool:;)

Haha, no gigantism or Mad Hatter tricks here, Joe! Just a super small deck of cards, all 52 of em have survived in this questionable pouch for several decades.
Hat is 6” crown and 3” bound brim #52. This 5x and my 7x raw edge both share 6x3 dimensions and 52 block, makes for full crown look.

I'm such a fan of back bow hats. Dating from 1955-1959 (during this resurgence of the style). I have yet to find any ads or hats from 1954 or 1960. Seems the style comeback was short lived. Of course, when you see Steve's 1920s version, this was one of the original versions. Love the color and ribbon width.

Wegener "Start" possibly late 1920s. I was excited + happy when I discovered this rare find back in January.

Wow Steve! It is rare to see one of these older back bows. Love the frayed edges of the bow treatment. Of course, the finish of this one is superb too. I really like this one a whole bunch!!

Another 30s Stetson Standard Quality from Ivano today while out holidaying in Wellington (our capital city).
Particularly smitten by the rakish angled, long tails on the frayed bow and the brim binding details.

That bow treatment is so cool, but that liner...wowza!

Have a good Friday,
Michael
I love the ribbon on this Portis. What does the liner look like? Does it have the "manly man" scenes of hobbies/activities around the Portis logo. I let mine go a while back and miss the liner fun.

That hat is large and in charge! But those cards are really something special...so cool!

Elosegui Beret
If I were to be a beret wearer, this would be a coveted example. Sure love the rich color.

Classy lines Perry. You always look sharp and well put together!

Those old Portis always have such a classic look. At first glance I was thinking Hanover Square then I saw the ribbon. Very nice Michael
Thanks Joe. They did have a way with ribbons.

Sadly, no manly man liner.

Just a slightly smeared logo on satin. No tip protector.

Hi Panos. Great to see you around. You're looking as good and sharp as ever.
Super looking petting Homburg. I can't make out the maker. Is it a Stetson?

Long time no see...thought to stop by and say hi! First day of snow here

Was hunting a hat like that for a long time...could not happen without Brent's generosity!
Hope all fellow loungers and friends are safe and sound.
Cheers,
Panos

Beauty.

Thank you, Stefan. Your hat parades of late have been stellar.
Thanks, Jim. Lots more to come in the parade.

Thank for the compliment sir. I do take some inspiration from your daily example.

It deserves to be worn often as it looks dynamite. I have a Featherweight and I struggle with steaming the hat to a smooth starting point. Darn'd if it always has some unique memory of a previous shape or takes a new unknown shape. Yours looks very orderly. Grand!

I say spend many ays under it. The hat dimensions are flattering.

Thank you, Eric. You're too kind.

Thanks a lot, Stephan. Guess the brilliance of Italian “week” inspired me.
Well, that was the intention. It worked!

It's getting to be winter and you guys are going to make me dig out my lightweight CC just to keep up!

Beautiful, Randy. It's on the "want" list.

Hey folks!
Late post today.
The Dalton Genuine Beaver was the choice on this last day of November.

Have a great day!
Very nice. Quite a few Daltons here lately.

That's a fine looking hat, Dave. Wonderful deep brown colour.

Had to run out this morning after the bread came out of the oven to pick up some last minute ingredients for a vat of cowboy casserole to feed the worker bees this weekend. Pop it in the oven later and let it cook until tomorrow. Got the VS black cherry on top, Santa in front. I feel like I don’t have enough hats to post all the time but I’ve got a couple new ones coming “soon”. I hope everyone has a pleasant weekend.
