Black Bainbridge vs Black CXLSH

Hi all,

I'm trying to decide which black leather to pick for an Aero jacket. Seems it's coming down to Black Bainbridge cowhide or Black CXLSH.

TFL has a plethora of aged pictures of their CXLSH jackets and reviews on top of it. But I'm guessing since the Bainbridge is a newer leather offering there's not as much discussion about it. A couple threads about Vanson offering it (and people general liking it) but very few pictures of black Bainbridge leather (or really any Bainbridge leather of any color). And the few discussions, with pictures, are of the jacket new with little to no wear.

I heard that since the black Bainbridge is dyed through it'll just take on a black and grey color in the high contact areas. Obviously different than the black and brown of the CXLSH in the respective high contact areas. I guess I'm just looking for opinions (and pictures!) of anyone that has had a Bainbridge jacket for a while now.

I’ve yet to see pictures of aged Bainbridge (any colour’ too.

I assume, you are ordering through TB, so maybe ask Carrie for some pictures with aged examples?

I have also never seen Bainbridge in the flesh. With photos I am always torn between, “Wow, that looks great!”, and “Uh, that looks a little flashy.”
