Looks almost like my new one, Brent. I'm sending mine to Rick for some upgrades.

Hey all!
Been a while. Thought I'd drop in and say hi. :)
All the nice Panamas and other straws on parade in the last few days reminded me that I have this Optimo Superfino. And that I should wear it and share it!

And if I photograph it just right you can't see the big crack in the brim...
Have a great day!

Absolutely gorgeous hat, John. The weave is incredible; a repaired tear wouldn’t deter me from wearing it either.

I like that one. Can you share the inside?

Posted in the modern Stratoliner thread too. Not sure why it says "The Temple" on sweat instead of having saying "Stratoliner" and having the jet logo like my other one. Not sure how old this one is, might be an outlet hat but no hole punched in sweat. I has a 2.5" brim like modern strats do (my other Sand colored hemp strat has more like a 2 3/4" or 2 7/8" brim.)

The change of weather has finally arrived over the weekend
Patron 2.jpg

The temperatures stabilized on the Italian summer values between 30 and 31 Celsius degrees (around 86 fahrenheit)
during the central hours of the day

Today, early in the morning, I walked to take advantage of the fresh air and watch the world wake up with a PHD on the head

My best compliments for all the hats I saw in these weeks and I haven't commented.
Thanks a lot for you likes and kind words on my rare appearances on the FL

Is the hand rough, or are they smooth to hold?
I've been sour on wool, but then been very impressed by some merino western "cowboy" hats.

The "Gloria" has a soft hand and the "Bellona" has some roughness. Both Hats are 1930s or older and in this time men's Wool Soft and Stiff Felt Hats dominated the German market (same with other European countries) unlike America where Fur Felt dominated the men's market.

That Gloria is a lovely hat.
