Hey everyone!
Another beautiful day, another Goodwill straw. Not as fine of a weave as yesterday's Optimo, but still a nice old Panama.

Even though it's not from Chicago, it's got the Optimo crown.. :)
Have a great day!

I never knew anyone on their deathbed say, "I wish I hadn't spent all that money & had such a good time."

I rather like what Augustus McRae said in Lonesome Dove, when it came to mind most recently, "By God, Woodrow, it's been quite a party, ain't it?"
I'm with you, Jack.
Just don't ask me to burry you in Lonesome Dove.

Hey all!
Been a while. Thought I'd drop in and say hi. :)
All the nice Panamas and other straws on parade in the last few days reminded me that I have this Optimo Superfino. And that I should wear it and share it!

And if I photograph it just right you can't see the big crack in the brim...
Have a great day!

Is that your personal tip, or did somebody 'drop dime' on you?

Posted in the modern Stratoliner thread too. Not sure why it says "The Temple" on sweat instead of having saying "Stratoliner" and having the jet logo like my other one. Not sure how old this one is, might be an outlet hat but no hole punched in sweat. I has a 2.5" brim like modern strats do (my other Sand colored hemp strat has more like a 2 3/4" or 2 7/8" brim.)

Thanks.
At least it isn't a slant hat.
OMG!
I've seen the ads, but pity the head that wore one.

The change of weather has finally arrived over the weekend

The temperatures stabilized on the Italian summer values between 30 and 31 Celsius degrees (around 86 fahrenheit)
during the central hours of the day

Today, early in the morning, I walked to take advantage of the fresh air and watch the world wake up with a PHD on the head

My best compliments for all the hats I saw in these weeks and I haven't commented.
Thanks a lot for you likes and kind words on my rare appearances on the FL

Good to see you around, John. Definitely a superfino weave in that hat.

A nice cool morning so I pulled this velour out of the pile.

Sold at Hut Spanke in Munster. Needs some love after a few months of neglect.

Y'all are KILLING it with lots of lovely lids of late, lads!!

I am traveling to western Massachusetts today, so a western seemed right.
Digging deep into the hats of my past, a Resistol straw purchased at Cutter Bill's as a gift for me by my late father-in-law in the early 1980s...
