Mallory, it was too foggy and dark to get a pic this morning, so a late post today

I've known this brand of French hatters for many years, I've never had a hat of my size to wear. I found a lot of advertising or Morreton posters on the market, never a hat to put on my head

Morreton Prèlude size 59 New / old stock, the heather felt has many shades according to the position of the sun

Felt and heather of gray, white and with a hint of brown, very soft and malleable even if it has a great thickness

Qualité Prèlude 09, color "Asphalte" with a ribbon that recalls the felt colors and the basting stitches still present
Proportions are: raw brim at 5 cm., crown at 12 cm. and ribbon is 4 cm.

The hat has no lining and has defects in the sweatband, small deficiencies. It is another of the French arrived in late summer.

Thanks for your likes on the previous Flechet.
Good day to all
Beautiful heathers the last few days Daniele.

Indian Summer is here, apparently. So getting a few more wears out of some lightweights.

OPS era Dobbs Cross Country for a Tuesday excursion into the "real" world.

Sent directly from my mind to yours.
Be careful out there in the “real world” Jim. Strange happenings out there and I hear most people don’t even wear a hat.

Really did that brim flange!

Sweet one

Thanks Jeff and Richard! The flange is how it came and seems to have survived the gas bath. The felt is so thin that I really need to check it in a mirror every time. If I just place it on my head and step out into the wind who knows how it will end up...

J. Hückel ´s Söhne "Flexible" "Seal Velour", probably later 1930s.

This hat once had a Crease Clip. You can see where the liner was pinched.

And it still holds the crease from the Crease Clip.

I have a J. Hückel ´s Söhne Promo Pocket Mirror from Huthase with a similar style hat (Color, Form) and from the same time period.

I love this color pairing. The felt looks blue-gray on my monitor and the pale green ribbon is just perfect. I never would have thought to put them together but after seeing them I don’t think anything else would look better. Stunning thin ribbon.
