Yes, the pecan felt is so versatile! I love the way you have the brim on this one Doug.Great minds, Mike! I wore my pecan felt from Mike Miller today, too, although these are file photos...
.
The seal velour is so wonderful. Did it have the crease clip when you got it or is it a "ghost" from decades ago?J. Hückel ´s Söhne "Flexible" "Seal Velour", probably later 1930s.
This hat once had a Crease Clip. You can see where the liner was pinched.
And it still holds the crease from the Crease Clip.
I have a J. Hückel ´s Söhne Promo Pocket Mirror from Huthase with a similar style hat (Color, Form) and from the same time period.
You really came out great with this pork pie. I only wish for such a find around here. The back bow and that taper to the crown just cries for the upturned brim. Thanks Stefan. I will say Bowen's got a lot of great hats.
Another trio of very fine hats. Great looks.
After I very satisfactory ride under the Champ I'm slacking around the house under the back bow Marathon again.

I gave it a bit of a brush and some steam last night.

Have a good evening,

The ribbon work from Art really turned this one into a great hat. It looks like it takes an organic pinch well.I had this out for another thread. D’Aquino with ribbon by VS:
Art took it from a novelty hat, complete with royal blue ribbon, to a nice daily driver.

Thanks Brent, but the ribbon is really a lighter blue gray than the felt. No green in it, at least not to my eyesI love this color pairing. The felt looks blue-gray on my monitor and the pale green ribbon is just perfect. I never would have thought to put them together but after seeing them I don’t think anything else would look better. Stunning thin ribbon.

Mike, Thanks! The Crease clip was missing. I also have a C.G. Wilke Velour that once had a Crease Clip. I only have 2 hats that came with Crease Clips. Probably the only 2 on the FL. Here is one of them. The seal velour is so wonderful. Did it have the crease clip when you got it or is it a "ghost" from decades ago?
I don't think I've seen a Fed IV look as nice as that one you're wearing. I'm not usually a fan of wide pinches but that one actually goes well.View attachment 138232
Another rainy morning;FED IV.
Nice! Tall crown, wider brim... very nicely proportioned.Mike, Thanks! The Crease clip was missing. I also have a C.G. Wilke Velour that once had a Crease Clip. I only have 2 hats that came with Crease Clips. Probably the only 2 on the FL. Here is one of them.

That's very cool. But the colors of the felt and ribbon are exquisite, and the sweat treatment is my favorite. Excellent.Mike, Thanks! The Crease clip was missing. I also have a C.G.
