Hey folks!
Many thanks for the likes and kind words on my recent posts.
Every so often I just have to trot out this 20's Penney's Marathon Genuine Velour. Today seems like a perfect day for it.

That blue sky in the background didn't last for the time it took to post this. Just long enough for pics.
Have a great day!

That looks so good, John. Back from the days when a bow was still a real bow.

I think my sweet spot for brims are 2 5/8 to 2 3/4. I'm leaning more toward favoring 2 5/8, though. But I was surprised at well this black 3 inch brimmed Borsa went with Levis and a work shirt. It goes well with sunglasses too, I think.

It definitely works T. With the taller crown I think you can get away with wider brims. I personally prefer near 3", so I'm somewhat biased. The taller crown does tend to "hide" some of it.

LOL, What Pants Are You Wearing Today.

MOMOTARO JEANS
G003-MZ 14.7OZ COPPER LABEL CLASSIC INDIGO WIDE STRAIGHT ZIPPER FLY
They have a high rise and a classic straight cut. The material uses light soft Zimbabwe raw cotton which has a a pleasant feeling when worn. The cotton threads are dyed with the beautiful Momotaro's original blue color that is a replication of the very first Japanese denims. There is a peach shaped stitch of the right pocket, indigo cotton inside liner, and pink cotton inseam thread to give it the stylish luxurious design. The denims are pre-washed.
After washing, shrinkage will be about 1 cm on the inseam.
-Wide straight
-14.7oz Sanforized denim
-Zimbabwe cotton 100%
-One washed
-Zipper fly
-Made in Japan
I never knew someone could have that much to say about pants. Then again, many people (my wife included) think we're nuts discussing hats the way that we do.

It took me a while but now I prefer wider brims and taller crowns. I try to avoid the temptation of anything less than 2 3/4" brim width. But I do stay at 3" max. I find I am wearing my 2 1/2" brims less and less. I started replacing them with wider brims and then selling the other.
I feel the exact same way Bill. This is TX after all, y'all ;)

J. Hückel ´s Söhne "Flexible" "Seal Velour", probably later 1930s.

This hat once had a Crease Clip. You can see where the liner was pinched.

And it still holds the crease from the Crease Clip.

I have a J. Hückel ´s Söhne Promo Pocket Mirror from Huthase with a similar style hat (Color, Form) and from the same time period.

Bowen's full of good ideas. It's a great look in an unexpected way.
Thanks Stefan. I will say Bowen's got a lot of great hats.

Been a bit busy the last few days, so did some catching up. Didn't comment on all the great hats but I feel I should have.
A few different ones from the last few days:

Another trio of very fine hats. Great looks.

After I very satisfactory ride under the Champ I'm slacking around the house under the back bow Marathon again.
