Last night, because it wasn't oppressively hot and muggy, my new Hufvud for a night of singing and socializing.

Never been a fan of Indy' s style but the more I see yours the more I like it! Not sure if it's the light conditions but my fepsa sage seems a bit darker, it's beaver though. Congrats again, great hat, enjoy it!

Small trip for coffe and cigar on this windy and rainy Saturday with my Agnoulita custom

On the way back I came across this one. Trilbys is not my cup of tea but it was too cheap to resist ;) Not sure about the age, but the condition is great, hand is very soft (I guess wool) and features a slightly longer nap (something between suede and velour I would say). The only thing I know is that is made in Sweden, pretty well made for my eyes I would say. Color is dark blue.

Thanks. I really often do, as the crown appears to have been built for it. It tends to bounce right back like a quality fedora, different from even the lighter weight 60s-70s bowlers that are not stiff like earlier ones. A little difficult to describe.

Man, I adore that 3X! After I saw your initial post I may have serendipitously performed a fruitful search and one may be on the way. Crossing my fingers for a good fit.

Thanks, Jeff. If it's anything like this one you won't be sorry.

Late teens/early twenties Italian velour in transitional style. Exported to the German Market, very deep tight centre crease and handsome back bow.
Wow! That's a fabulous find. There's been some debate about wether or not the Italians did these special finishes pre-war until a few examples turned up. This is probably the earliest example we've seen here.

And for my hot and muggy outdoors-all-day days, a Pendleton I picked up 3 summers ago near the St. Lawrence Seaway.

This has very quickly become my favorite outdoor summer hat. Completely ventilated, a wire bound brim that allows it to hold the shape I want, and a fabric sweatband.
Let's say the Pendleton makes the Hufvud look even better!

What an incredible hat! The quality is manifest in every detail. Somehow, it looks even better when you’re wearing it. Such a hat would have pride if place in anyone’s collection.
