Good Thursday All.
This was my first long hair Borsalino purchase approximately 01. Its starting to get a lot fuzzy on exact dates. Give or take a year. It’s a great winter hat and it’s completely broken in from years of use. Not a beater, but just an old reliable friend.

Foggy night in the plains and dense mists here in the valleys. Cold until mid-morning, then the sun appeared slightly heating the air

Borsalino Antica Casa size 6 or 59 cm. here in Europe, 7 3/8 in the US

The color of the felt is "Folco" and the finish is a shiny fur, called in ancient times here in Italy by the felt manufacturers, "flaman" or finished with French iron, so it is written in the descriptions of the ancient workings of felt

Felt looks, in manufacturing, a lot like a few French hats which will catch some light in the coming days

It is a quite recent product of Borsalino, no type mentioned on the paper label.

I wish you a happy Thursday. I thank you for the likes and kind words.
Continue to carry on with your personal parade of hats

Beautiful hat Daniele! I love the color. I have really enjoyed seeing all you long hair Borsalino over the past few days.

I like the shape and dimensions on that one Brent. I try to keep an eye out for one like that for myself.

It's nice to have old friends you can rely on, Reggie. You look very sharp again sir.

That looks to be a really nice color, Daniele. Beautiful finish too. I wonder what a French Iron is?
Ciao Michael and thanks. Your daily parade of wonderful hats is endless.
The "French iron" instead of a torture instrument I think it is an iron brush with which to treat the felt during processing to obtain the effect of the short and medium fur with shine.
Steve for sure knows more than me.

Love the look of the colour and texture on that Borsalino, Daniele. Great overall shape, too.
Grazie Steve. I can't say nothing more to your daily hats, only a huge plause

Very cool color on that one Daniele
Grazie Joe. Nice to see your hats passion increase day by day

Beautiful hat Daniele! I love the color. I have really enjoyed seeing all you long hair Borsalino over the past few days.
Thanks Regie, Some outstanding fur Baltimore from your side

It wasn’t. Just didn’t want to be left in the dark. I like popcorn and a show too, but only if it’s a one I can watch and not be in.
