I need to get out on the bicycle for a little E and E, errands and exercise. Haven't decided what to wear for that yet, but it will be back to the Stetson when I get home.

Another gorgeous hat, Esther. I heard recently my brother and his wife are in Ghent. Is that anywhere near you?

Fed IV. Checking to see if the suit fits, have to attend a wedding soon.

It looks fantastic, IMO.

Got home at 9:00pm last night after giving a lecture at the church -- house was 86 degrees inside... SO HOT.

Until the weather cools down, the Bailey coarse-weave stays up top:

Keep cool, Blu!

Thank you Bob. As a Belgian that sure seems funny doesn't it?

Just finished this one for a really cool lady.

Knox hats are such fine hats. This one is extraordinary.

This is the first montecristi Panama that I purchased from eBay. They used to come up fairly frequently and sell reasonably in smaller sizes. I like the dimensions and blocking in this one... narrow flat brim and tall crown. It came in a Kaufmann's box with a L.C. Rossen shipping label affixed. I believe the hat was "rossenized" early in its life - perhaps adding a new sweatband and frayed ribbon. The straw shows the patina of many summers of wear but remains flexible and strong enough to last another century or so.

Gorgeous Montecristi, Alan.

Stevens Panama while trying to figure out how to get through the cluster that a Presidential visit causes so I can join my wife for lunch.

Very nice, Bob!

Out and about today with a Stetson Premier Stratoliner in cornhill. This was a stubborn, unforgiving hat to bash; a big thank you to Art Fawcett who kindly rescued it for me and gave it a mild diamond bash. Thickish felt, still stubborn, seems more like a carpet than hat felt, won't take a sharp pinch in the front; I wonder, are they are all this way? Crown height is a bit low for me, so it's currently a nice entry in the beater/casual category. View attachment 84086
Lookin' good, sir!

A real nice sumer lid, Robert!

We have to days of relative comfort, and then a 90+ heatwave weekend. Today's doctor appointment called for some formality so the Mossant Diplomatique got the nod. Unlined, so it counts as a "summer" felt.

I love your collection of Stage Coach hats, Joao, and this one is a favorite.

Today because I was missing some of my tiny hats, this Resistol 20X beaver Brown Gold.
When I say tiny hat it's because of the low crown :p the brim on this one is the full 4".
Nice felt, fits nice, good brim size, but the low crown touches the top of my head...

Looks great, even though the top touches your crown!

Man that's a fine lid, Bama!
