Thanks for the warm welcome! Everybody's wearing beautiful hats again!

Stetson Sovereign quality today

Impeccable! I love what they did with that ribbon.

Beautiful! Your hats really are stunning, such an inspiration! What is the inside of your ladies' fedoras like? Are they finished like most men's hats or unlined with a grosgrain sweatband like most women's hats?

Thanks again. I will wear a black hat tomorrow. Look forward to seeing more of your hats. Maybe the fantastic Bowler you posted?

Looking forward to seeing your hat today. Bowler it is for me, more pics in the bowler thread if anyone's interested...

Felt is extremely malleable and difficult to keep in shape

The construction of the felt and finish are superb

The proportions are those of hats without a snap brim

It has come here (stock inventory) in a lucky deal a few years ago

Yesterday Guerra 1855 cream color was a great success.
Thank you all for the appreciation and kind words!

This thread is such a treasure! I am in awe of everybody's hat collections here, especially @mayserwegener 's and @Daniele Tanto 's. Today I wore my old Hobson black fedora (or rather "classic trilby" as my old English milliner once assured me). It's not the grandest of hats, and the brim could benefit from a bit of steaming, but I've had it for 18 years and have worn it through rain and snow so it's pretty much molded itself perfectly to the shape of my head and doesn't get blown of by the autumn winds.

I thank you with my heart for your generous opinion on hats that I show here.
Many of them represent the high tradition of the hats production in Italy and France, for Central Europe we have the immeasurable Steve (mayserwegener).
I hope to continue to "inspire awe", but I advise you to have fun with hats.
I saw that you have a very interesting derby and a workhorse Hobson who is also the partner for many years.
Keep it tight
Have a nice day and thanks again

Your nickname in ancient Italian means
celia
cè·lia/
feminine noun
Joke, joke, with no intention of mocking or harm.

Thank you all for your congratulations for my son. A good day indeed.

Joao – If you added the brims on those hats it would circumnavigate the globe.

Esther – I love that color. Wow.

Strapped – You are well put together today. And seasonal!

Hato – Great contrasting colors. Very Sharp.

1Mach – Sharp! I love the older Resistols. They really made a great hat.

Celia – Even with that small amount of head in the picture I can tell it suits you. With your matching hair bow… Awesome.

Danielle – Sono belli quelli Long Hairs. Incredibile.

For me, my Borsalino Nutria.

I didn't know Celia meant joke in Italian, you learn something new every day. I can read and understand some Italian, but unfortunately I don't speak the language...

I definitely have fun with hats, always have done, and wish more people in this world would too! Life's just better with a hat on your head, but I guess everybody here already knows that :) My taste in hats is mainly European, so seeing you and Steve wearing your collections and reading your knowledgeable posts is a real treat. I love the long hair felts you've been wearing recently, they have such a luxurious feel to them. I have a couple of long hair hats myself, but they are classical ladies' models rather than men's fedoras.

Thank you. It does, but unfortunately it is very faded. i tried to take a picture, but it doesn't really show the details and the colours are a bit off. The liner is white with a red and gold crest:

Underneath the crest there is actually a banner saying "Superior Quality" which is so faded it is practically invisible now. The words underneath (Hobson London) are also almost gone and barely discernible in the photo.

Here is a picture of the name on the sweatband:

That is really an interesting hat. And it looks good on you.

Celia means above all a bland joke made with words
The Italian is a difficult language
Often on the Italian market you can buy high quality vintage hats.
It depends on the size, the more present are 56, 57 and 58 cm in which often appear jewels.
If I can be of help I'm here

Wow!
And a late congrats to your son and family.

I can think of nowhere better to study art than in Italy. What a marvelous experience it must have been for him.

I wish him the greatest success.
