Great hat with a really cool crease!View attachment 108544 View attachment 108545 View attachment 108546 View attachment 108547 View attachment 108548 Greetings All:
Today it’s a Vita-Felt Strat. Kinda Sandstone colored. Very lightweight, linerless from long ago. Rather nice thin felt.
Be well. Bowen
Thanks Matt for the complimentWell I'm in some great company today. Beautiful hat, Daniele.
Is there an English translation of "Amiata"? I've looked and can not find any literal translation. The only non-product related occurrence of the word I find is the Amiata system of lava dome volcanoes. Monte Amiata in Tuscany is the largest of those.
Might the color be named for that? Volcanic ash is gray. And I do think that I see the color of that hat in this lovely winter photo of Monte Amiata...
Stetson Premier Vita-Felt to start the week.
Happy Monday.
Early 1950s Mallory XV with gills this morning. I will be dealing with the Maple Disaster of 2018 today. We will rebuild!

The new Stetson Royal De Luxe for a very warm Sunday exploring some of the wetlands along Back Bay with my son.
They are both originals. That first one, the beaver brand, came to me open crown and has gone through a few creases over the years. Its 5X felt is slightly rugged and on the thicker side, so it may have a little more of a western look, which is just fine with me!That is indeed a unique hat Alan. I love it.
Great looking hat Jeff. Is it a conversion or an original fedora?
.
That one just "spanke"s my eyeballs every time I see it. The green pairs great with the jacket. The one sold by Hut Spanke on a cloudy morning.

That's a beauty. The brim stitching really pops out. Cool look. Thanks everyone for the comments and likes on my Stetson #1 from yesterday.
I love this hat, it fits right between the Open Road style and westerns and I wear it a lot.
Today it’s a change of pace with my Penman Casablanca.
Cheers!
David
